Loved it! I recently got to sit down and play Good Omens - An Ineffable Game, and I must say, it exceeded all my expectations. As a big fan of the series and novel, I was thrilled to see the universe brought to life in such a fun and authentic way. First and foremost, the attention to detail in this game is commendable. From the beautifully designed cards to the engaging and accessible gameplay mechanics, every element captures the essence of Good Omens. The illustrations and general design is vibrant and rich, adding to the overall immersive experience. Play time was another highlight for me. Each battle ranges from 15 to 30 minutes, making it perfect for quick gaming sessions, or as it ended up being in my case, multiple rounds in one sitting. This pacing keeps each game feeling exciting without trudging on too long, and allows it to easily fit into any game night! Whether you are a die-hard fan of the Good Omens series or simply enjoy fun tabletop games, Good Omens - An Ineffable Game is a must-have. It delivers a really fun experience while most importantly capturing the spirit of Good Omens.

YAY it arrived in time for girls night! We love this show and had to get this game, it is so beautiful and we had so much fun playing. This will make an appearance at game night again.... maybe when we get together to watch season 2. #teamcrowley

I’m a big fan of the show and also read the book. We found these games fun and have always liked card and trick taking type of games. We’re also fans of some of the other card games by this company like Fox in the forest and Arboretum. The quality of the cards is great with lots of pictures from the show. Can’t wait for season 2!

Me ha gustado muchísimo la presentación, las cartas son bellamente impresas, la bolsa aterciopelada basada en el libro de profecías de Agnes, los dados... incluso el manual de instrucciones es muy bello. La única pega es que evidentemente viene todo en inglés al ser un juego producido en Estados Unidos. Pero es divertido jugar contra la jinete Guerra. Jinete Polucion es más juego "tipo póker" y se me hizo más difícil. Tengo que probar el resto de batallas. Pero definitivamente si eres fan de la serie, no debería perderte su primer juego oficial. Ojalá hayan muchos juegos más. Uno de rol con tablero sería una delicia!

Very fun game I enjoy it a lot

We love the IP, but this is a collection of mini games with a horribly written rulebook. The rules for the first game or War were written so badly that none of us could understand them. First game was so forgettable, that we simply forgot about the whole game.

So I played a couple of the mini-games today with my family (War and Pollution). The reaction so far is definitely meh to bad. I'm not sure who this game is aimed at from a gameplay standpoint. There's not a lot of thematic tie in, and the gameplay is more complicated than fans of basic card games will want and too random for fans of chunkier board games. Apart from the fight against War (which is the card game War with an added push-your-luck element), it's basically a series of poker-based trick-taking mini-games with hidden knowledge and a little bit of luck mitigation through the character abilities. I haven't played hidden knowledge trick-taking games like The Crew, so maybe people that like those games will like this. I do enjoy Whist, Gin Rummy, and Poker when I play them (admittedly rarely), so it's not like I don't enjoy trick-taking games though. Maybe if the game wasn't described so vaguely, more people would have an idea if they are likely to enjoy it before they buy it (personally, I thought it was going to be a deck-building card battler, a genre I enjoy). I could see some of the games being enjoyable if there was a solo mode, but it's designed for 2-4 players and I think the fight against War is the only one you could technically play solo without breaking the rules as written. I may take a stab at solo-izing the rules if I have time, as my family isn't really interested in playing this any more based on the first two mini-games we played. A pity, as I really wanted to enjoy this one. The art is nice though. I'll probably put a full review over on BGG at some point once I've played more of the games, but I really wouldn't recommend that most fans of the book/series rush out and buy this from a gameplay standpoint. It's a pity, because the designers clearly put some thought into making each mini-game different from the others...we just haven't found them much fun this far. (In the event that changes, I'll update this review).

We bought as we loved the Good Omens Series. This card game is easy to learn, but difficult to master. And can be played multiple times with different outcomes.

Al principio parece complicado, pero una vez que comienzas aprendes rápidamente y te enganchas por completo con las diferentes partidas. Sin embargo, pese al manual del juego, si fue necesario recurrir a una guía en YouTube para entenderle mejor. Agradecería mucho si se lanzara un video tutorial oficial para confirmar todo esto. Con respecto al producto, me encantó! Las tarjetas se sienten de calidad y tienen un diseño bastante lindo. Los dados también son resistentes y la bolsita fue un plus por la versión que a mí me llegó. Creo que el equipo fue sumamente creativo, porque los juegos si parecen ligados a la temática de los oponentes, y algunos son más difíciles que otros; además de citar que Dios juega ese extraño juego de póker, mientras los humanos si juegan a los dados también. Hay muchas referencias a la serie de TV en todo el juego. Finalmente, también me gustó mucho que se juega como un mismo equipo, entonces ya que estás metido en el juego, si te emocionas y quieres evitar el Armagedón. Además, el juego presenta una gran variedad de partidas, no es como que lo puedas acabar en una sola noche, está ideal para acordar varias reuniones e ir avanzando juntos.

Habe das Spiel als Geschenk für einen grossen Fan der Serie gekauft. Die Verarbeitung ist toll, alles sehr stabil. Die Verpackung ist auch sehr ansprechend und kam gut an. Das Spiel ist komplett auf Englisch und man benötigt sehr gute Sprachkenntnisse um es halbwegs zu verstehen. Die Regeln waren für uns leider nicht so verständlich und die verschiedenen Spielvarianten nicht alle sinnvoll spielbar. Aber das lag wohl an unseren Übersetzungskünsten. Auch mit Google Translation etc. Kamen wir nicht wirklich weiter. Das Spiel wird also eher als schönes Sammlerstück im Regal landen.
