Are these lifepo4 batteries, or just old skool lithium ion that isnt as good of a value? (No need to debate that lithion ion batteries are not trash)

For those looking at this currently, please note the date and the product this question was asked about. This question was in relation to the original river. since amazon combines reviews and answers for updated listings. The River 2 uses LiFePo4 batteries as is stated in the product description.

Has anyone received good support for a failed device?

Mine didn't "fail", but the display started to crap out after I owned it for only about a week. EcoFlow was extremely quick to respond to a support request I submitted via info on their website. When it was found that their suggestions didn't fix the issue, they immediately offered a product replacement or repair. I chose to do the replacement, and they provided me a pre-paid shipping label to send back the old unit. From the time I sent out my old unit until the replacement arrived was about a week, which is pretty darn good. The rep that helped me through the troubleshooting and replacement process was excellent.

1) Will it run a portable fridge that cycles on and off without going to sleep, 2) can it be charged (via solar) while powering?

Unit autoshutoff is user adjustable via the app from 30 minutes to never, so that's not a problem. Restarting a compressor over and over though will drain you quick if it's that type of fridge. Running a peltier based "6 pack" fridge, this unit claims between 6 & 7 hours in a 75 degree room. Generally, the hotter the room, the shorter your runtime as the fridge runs more. No problem charging in any approved way while discharging. Fully bidirectional.

Can this unit help me Loosing power in my house to replace old wiring can this handle a wifi box ,mini frige ,tv and a fan?

This unit can handle as much as 600 watts continuously. This means it can handle all of the products you mentioned. However, this is NOT meant to power an entire home. This unit is small, so it will supply 600 watts for around 20 to 30 minutes before it reaches zero and shuts down. If you want to power a house you will need a much larger unit which will likely cost 10X the value of this unit.
