Exactly what I was looking for. We spent 6 months attempting to do virtual Kung Fu classes in our living room with limited space. Our training was suffering. We moved outside to have more space as well as be able to train with weapons. We started on the concrete which was extremely hard on my joints as an adult even with good street shoes. Let's not even talk about attempting sit-ups and knuckle pushups on gritty concrete. So I researched and settled on these decently priced mats. They have been amazing. My joints no longer hurt and my tailbone thanks me during sit ups. They are firm enough though that it doesn't affect our form. Very similar to the mats we train on at our school when we could to in person. Super easy to clean as I just take a spray mop to them. They have been outside so far. No rain but I did hose them off once. So far so good. They were a bit slippery at first and they do turn our bare feet black as we rotate and rub our feet around, but the slipperiness is fading and the black washes off easily. Doesn't seem to come off on clothes as far as I can tell. I did have to get some sandbag like things to hold down in the crazy winds we get, but they are still getting use and I love them. I am sure the more expensive ones are better, but i didn't want to spend that much for a year and to have them outside.

We wanted to turn our basement into a safe “romper room” for our young grandsons, and after comparing many options, we chose these 1" thick foam mats. We couldn’t be happier with our decision! We purchased 182 sq. ft., and the installation was straightforward. Even cutting the mats to fit was simple—especially once we switched to 10" Heavy Duty Scissors/Carpet Cutters, which worked far better than kitchen shears or a utility knife. The mats are the perfect balance: firm enough for both toddlers and adults to walk on comfortably, yet soft enough to cushion falls and reduce the impact from a tumble. The finished space feels safe, comfortable, and inviting. Absolutely thrilled with the result—highly recommend!

I bought these mats after doing a lot of research and was still very skeptical. After two weeks of heavy use they have held up very well and feel great. We use them for Muay Thai and BJJ. For break falls this is not the most cushioned like a zebra mat but it works pretty well for most judo throws and takedowns as long as you know how to break fall. It’s held up well so far to three people using it twice a day for two weeks doing bag work and rolling. It’s also cool because it’s increased my children’s interest in Muay Thai since they aren’t limited by how often we go to our gym.

PRODUCT UPDATE: I WAS FINALLLY ABLE TO CONTACT A REPRESENTAIVE FROM IncStores and my issue was resolved satisfactorily and I have received the correct product. My students are much happier as well as myself with the added cushioning of the thicker pads. P.S. - I would have given this product 5 stars but unfortunately, the one thing I did notice compared to the 7/8in pads, the texture on the 1" pads are more slippery than the 7/8" pads. Other than that these mats fulfill my needs at the moment. Take care and be safe all!! The product shown here is not the actual 1" Mat. This is the picture of the 7/8" mats. I ordered over 75 of these mats and received the ones shown in the advertisement. It was not until I re-ordered additional Mats and received the actual 1" Mats did I realize they were different Mats. The reason I have rated this Mat low was because of the extremely poor customer service from IncStore for returning the 7/8" Mats. If you are using these Mats for any potential grappling, falling or MMA/Martial arts training the true 1" Mats are much better. I say this because once I replaced the 7/8" with the 1" Mats my students recognized the difference immediately. I have included pictures to show the difference in the Mats. The Mat with the "white" stripe is the 1" Mat and the one missing the stripe is the 7/8" Mat. The additional pictures show how they look if used with the 7/8" Mats. I also added a side by side comparison for the different Mats.

Did a whole room with these and now it's a gym. We are protecting a nice hardwood floor. This is the third time I ordered them as I keep expanding the floor coverage - they seem to hold up pretty well (they are soft enough for sitting/yoga, but firm enough to hold my 300 pound workout cage and 350 pound treadmill
