Q: Where do you store this? It can’t be stored inside the car if you’re locked out of it.

Correct. This is usually used by a Locksmith and they unlock others cars with it. Best to have a spare key made now, while you have your keys in hand. You can always get what’s called a service key made at Ace Hardware (as a locksmith please always use Ace instead of the big box stores, you know, the big blue one or the big Orange one, they have professional grade key equipment and the other stores don’t have a clue to making a good key) and hide it on your car. If it’s a newer model it can’t be started with the service key, that will only open the door. A service key duplicate should cost under $5. At $50-100 to unlock your car it’s a bargain. If you decide to get the air wedge you also need a solid wedge to get the air bag in the door. Once you pump it up, to create a space to get an unlocking tool between the door frame and car, you will then need a long reach tool to get the handle or unlock button or lock indicator. Trust me, a coat hanger will not work in 95% of the cars. They are no longer stiff enough to do the job. This kit does come with a small pry tool but it’s pretty weakly built and usually slips while you are trying to get the air wedge into the frame. I have this kit myself as a locksmith however they don’t work all that great. The one with “universal” brand on it is a much better built air wedge and it is what I use on just about every call. I only use the bags in this kit if I need more than one air bag to wedge open the door enough. Or get a spare key and give it to a family member or friend to come out to unlock you. The opening of a car is not as easy as the internet videos shows. Hope this helps with your questions.

Hose can be added IF it is of similar diameter to make a good seal on the bags stem and the valve. 3. The thickness of the bag with no air is approximately 2.3 mm, which is typically inserted into a flat space prior to inflation.
