even though it may be more expensive than other brands. this is pretty good stuff, I have been on oral antibiotics for four months as well as IV antibiotics for approaching a month. NO C DIFF, and minimal bowel disturbances. I feel a lot safer knowning that my risk of C Diff will be lowered incase I have to use daptomycin. it also showed up as "Saccharomyces sp. 'boulardii' strain unique28" according to a viome microbiome test. so yes it does work and it does colonize the gut

I highly recommend this product but not the seller. The seller sent the product in a bubble wrap envelope and the boxes were crushed and seller refused to send replacements. Seller needs to use a better shipping method. I began taking Florastor after I was diagnosed with C-Diff.. I took one capsule twice a day, after 2 weeks I took once capsule a day. I noticed considerable relief in my symptoms after 24 hours, I am now completely healed from the C-Diff but I continue to take 1 capsule 3-4 days a week because it helps me keep regular. Awesome product. A little costly but well worth the results.

I had some "gurgling" in my system upon first taking Florastor Capsules. After two days of mild symptoms occasionally, the symptoms went away. I feel that this is a very effective product. I am a probiotics fanatic and also take Dr O'Hhiras capsules, 1 per day. Have gotten thru many rounds of antibiotics with no C-diff so I am a believer. Edited 2/9/2017 Stopped taking Florastor and Dr ohhiras for two months and now I am experiencing a very bothersome yeast infection. I have IBS and after three months of constant use of Garden of Life enzymes for women, the digestive problem is resolving. (I can eat most foods again). Dr. Lessmans vitamins and products are wonderful, too. No digestive upset with them. Because of the YI, I have now re-started both Florastor and Dr O probiotics. The Dr O I may still discontinue again because it contains carageenan, a filler which I feel I don't digest properly.

for about 7 months now, I have been suffering with chronic issues. they appeared out of no where, and none of my dr's could seem to get to the root of it. I had several tests over several months that all came back with normal results. yet I had chronic diarrhea and bloating. It even led to a colonoscopy which again found nothing. after that, all my dr just sort of went MIA. My PCP was only ready to address it under the blanker term of "IBS" but wasnt sure what the cause was. so I tried everything, OTC probiotics, more fiber, no sugar, no gluten, no alcohol, -nothing worked. I then stumbled on an article about SIBO (small intestinal bacteria overgrowth) and while I had and still have no clue if this was the cause, the article mentioned "spore based" probiotics like FLORASTOR. so on a whim I ordered a box. when they arrived I took two pills, and I KID YOU NOT, the next morning I was totally back to normal. no bloating, no diarhea, nothing. I ketp with it, and have been taking it since. some days I drop down to one pill as it is a bit pricey, but its like a miracle. literally reversed every issue i was having. I really just cant believe how quickly and radically this changed how I was feeling.

This is a great product but I didn’t like having to peel it out of the blister pack. I bought my next month’s worth at my local drugstore and it came in a bottle! Too bad you have to take 2 a day instead of 1 a day like other, similar products.

I've tried many different probiotics and keep coming back to this one. It has been the best one for me. Some of the others have either caused me to feel hungry all the time, it I have to take several for it to help me. With Florasto, I only need to take one at night. I'm sure it is different for different people, but one works for me. This one has also been the most gentle on my stomach and doesn't need to be refrigerated. If you have been on antibiotics a lot, this is a safe one to take, as long as you space it out and allow a few hours between taking your antibiotic and your probiotic. It is the one my gastroenterologist recommended for me.

My 2 Year old was recently on antibiotics which lead to some pretty nasty diapers and resulting diaper rash. (You parents out there know what I am talking about). I found Florastor by researching probiotics that would help... and boy did it. Two days after starting him on Florastor his stomach problems went away. Finished his course of antibiotics without issue. Tip for any parents looking to give this to their kids... buy the regular capsules. They have the same amount as the kids product without any sweeteners etc. Just open the capsule and mix it in with yogurt, juice, ice cream etc. Just nothing carbonated or too hot. Hope this helps someone else out there!
