obsession
What a wonderful book! I loved every minute of it. I wish sometimes it came with pictures, especially where the dress and butterflies were mentioned.

Loved it
Load up with some tissues. This story is exciting, romantic, and intriguing. I enjoyed it so much, but I guessed where the plot was heading. Nevertheless, it kept meglued in a good way.

Sweetly (and sweat-ily) obsessed with this book!
I am a bit obsessed with every book by this author, waiting with bated breath for the next release. The Sweetest Obsession (Redhaven Book 2) by Nicole Snow was certainly no exception, worth the wait, exciting, thrilling and so full of heart.I was intrigued by Grant in book 1 of this series. He totally lives up to his grumpy attitude while demonstrating real emotions with his family and especially his little Nelly-girl. And, I adored watching him transform for Ophelia.Besides being a Nicole Snow book, this story has a great deal going for it. What I loved about Grant and Ophelia's story is the characters themselves, their second chance, heartbreak with a hopeful silver lining, mysterious events, lurking dangers, dark and sinister intentions, love, family, sweet connections along with those of the very steamy variety. Honestly, this is just the tip of the iceberg for me. I could go on forever about the characters, their backgrounds, and their love, but that would totally spoil it!If you ask me, Nicole Snow has mastered the Grumpy alpha Hero and Grant is absolutely a fantastically hot, rough, raw, sweet, tender, determined and ultra protective example. Her Heroines are just as interesting and entertaining. Ophelia is exactly what Grant needs. Not only because of a shared history, but because she calls him out, has sass to match his grumpiness while remaining sweet, kind, and loving despite the cloud of worry and despair hovering over her.Overall, The Sweetest Obsession is a wonderful read for all those reason listed above and so much more. Plenty of moving parts and unresolved circumstances make this a thrilling and suspenseful page turner while other aspects with smash your heart to smithereens with underlying hope. And the ending will not disappoint! It's all goodness and light, love and a promising future. Grant and Ophelia's HEA is absolutely guaranteed and not to be missed!I read an ARC of this book and voluntarily share my review.

not for me
I loved grant don’t get me wrong , I think he’s the only good thing in this book. Literally I hated how everything was dragged on forever lol they over explained things BUT the things that you would actually like to be explained. Like Ethan’s death. It was a big thing throughout the entire story and we only got a small “paragraph “ almost at the end explaining what we knew already. He got killed trying to save that girl Celeste or wtv. BORING. I was expecting a twist where he was alive and the arendelles had him or something but nope just dead and nothing else. I felt like Nicole needed to give us more related to his death because it’s what drew grant and Ophelia apart soooooo. Just felt like an afterthought BOOORING.

The Sweetest Obsession
What a book, the town sounds ideal, the people are nice. But,there's always a but, some families are meant to live in a cave away from everyone. The Arrendels are people who should live under the cave.Read this book and you will love it.

Could be better.
I would've enjoyed this so much more if the book had actually been focused on the story versus the words the author put onto paper.Much like the first book, it's overly wordy and melodramatic.A solid 100 pages could be cut out without losing anything. At minimum. It doesn't help when the author fails to remember what constitutes a paragraph.Because everything is on a separate line to add *gravity* and *suspense*.Sometimes the metaphors and descriptions get so out of hand it becomes ridiculous.See how dumb this is? It's absolutely okay here and there to add effect, but when your entire book is written like everything you're saying is supposed to besoimportantto the narrativewhen it most assuredly *isn't*that the effect is lost entirely. And the wordiness? We don't need 5 pages to describe a kiss, for god's sake.It takes something like 10% of the book to describe their date and the night after... and the date itself was maybe 3% of that.Trim the fat.More is not always better. That being said, I liked Grant and Ophelia. I liked how honest they were with each other. I liked the story and the suspense, even if the big secret was easy to guess.

Little age-gap, second chance with mystery and passion; 5-plus-stars!
If you like steamy, spine-tingling, suspense-filled stories with incredible characters, you will want to read this book! Another sizzler for Ms. Snow. How does she continue to give us these amazing characters going through astounding events with steam and touching moments? I loved how she didn’t put us through agonies waiting for the H and h to realize there was an attraction not to be avoided. No angsty does-he or will-she stuff. Grant is a man who is 36yo and realizes that this is his opportunity for a second chance when Ophelia comes home after being gone for ten years. She is now 28yo and more woman than when she left Redhaven, NC years ago. She wonders if she can let her childhood friend Grant know how she truly feels about him. Wonderful ending with good things and bad things but “a month later” is perfection which caused happy tears. The intrigue surrounding the Arrendell family and the Jacobins will continue to fascinate. Will they ever get their just rewards? As always try to find the mention of other series’ characters written by Ms. Snow. She tucks in their mention from time to time.I volunteered to review an ARC of this book.
