I had been buying an endless supply of tartar bones and powders for my golden retriever. Her teeth over the years had accumulated tartar build up, black spots along the bottoms of her teeth and I began to worry about health problems caused by dental disease. Using this tool I was surprised to find that her decay could be easily removed, I even removed a dark spot that I had thought was a cavity. It was simply a hardened tartar. Following a long walk I found my dog was relaxed and receptive to a cleaning! Her tail even wagged after the "procedure" as if she was happy to have her clean teeth. I recommend this product to keep your pet healthy too.

Very happy with these tools!! My yorkie has some horrible build-up on it's teeth and has always HATED letting me brush or scrape his teeth. This was made nicely enough that I sat him on my lap and gently started scraping at one tooth for about 30seconds to get him used to it. He sat still and continues to do so! The scraper is pretty sharp rather than dull which is great and the mirror helps too. Definitely would recommend it to others.

Quality materials but the scrapper is not sharp or pointed enough to get into my dogs cracks where the tarter is really bad. It seems to be too blunt of a tip for my purposes. I will buy a different one.

This looks like a quality item. No instructions, even when searching online there aren't many helpful tutorials on how to remove tartar from dogs teeth.

OMG! This is amazing. It took a little bit of practice, and lots of patience, but I managed to get my doxie's teeth good as new. My other pup on the other hand, is scared of the scraper tool, so it gets to be a bit difficult as I have to cover his eyes with one hand as I pry his mouth open, and then use my other hand to scale his teeth. lol. Takes practice, but its worth being able to do it myself, as opposed to spending hundreds of dollars and having them anesthetized.

Good tools at a great price. I cleaned my dogs front teeth already with minimal effort, the plaque build up disappeared. I have tried to clean the back teeth, which are going to take a bit more cooperation and elbow work. Product arrived on time and is good quality.

I try to scale my each of dog's teeth at least every other month to prolong expensive vet cleanings. It is essential that I do this for one of my fur babies, as he has a heart condition and cannot be safely sedated. Until I discovered this Majestic Bombay tooth scraper, made specifically for dogs, we have just been using a dental scaler meant for humans on the dogs. The problem with this, is that the sharp, pokey shape often will poke their gums when they move abruptly, and cause them to bleed. I really like the idea of the flattened shape of this scaler, to avoid irritating their gums. However, I will say that this wider shape does make scaling my little dog's teeth more difficult, particularly for my little dogs (10lbs), as this scraper is on the larger side and I was unable to get into the little crevices of their tiny teeth. This scaler is much better suited for does our larger pup (45lbs) with her bigger teeth. We found the mirror to be completely useless. Overall, this can be a really good product to more safely scale a bigger dogs teeth, and I recommend trying! I also recommend wrapping your furry friend in a towel, having someone help you with scaling, and even give your baby a calming treat or mild sedative if this is their/your first experience with at-home K-9 dental scaling. This is great to clean your dogs teeth with. I really don't use the mirror, but it came with the set and was still the best price for the quality. When I got it I immediately used it. My golden retriever is so good and let's me get at the tartar he had on his back teeth. This took it off in just a couple sessions. His teeth are pearly white again. The vet is going to be amazed on his next checkup. The package arrived fast as well.
