Q: Why does the product description say nothing about the product or what it's supposed to do?

Its pretty intuitive as they are ear plugs that keep water out as you surf to prevent surfer’s ear (a common surfing ailment).

Q: Why are these $60? At the end of the day they are earplugs.

We sell for the price recommended by the manufacturer based on the price we pay for them. They are more "high tech". You can read about them by Googling "Surf Ears" to see what makes them special.

Q: is there a warranty with this product? so many mixed reviews. plenty of people say they break or don't work and plenty saying they are great.

We've been selling them for a few years and never had a return/warranty issue. We buy them from a distributor so I'm not too sure on the warranty to be honest. The company is based in Australia. I found this on their website: A: Within 6 months after purchase we have a warranty, so if your plugs break within this time due to normal use, we'll replace what is broken. (If you got your SurfEars elsewhere then this website, reach out to the distributor in your region and they will support you.

Q: how does the lease attach to the body?

Insert one plug to an ear then loop the string around the neck and plug the other, don’t forget to smile
