Buyer be aware these 2 items ship separately. Received 1 each of menu A and menu B meals. Both have inspection dates of June 2025. As a veteran, I am quite familiar with the meals and have definitely consumed my fair share over the years. As a member of a unit that didn't fit under the parameters of a major command, we were classified as a "Special Operations" unit, but to be clear not "THE" SPECIAL OPERATIONS. Anyways, I had the opportunity to meet a Representative from one of the MRE contract companies. The whole mfg and inspect by dates are very simple. MFG Date is exactly that - the date of mfg. They guarantee 100% calorie and nutritional value as stated for 5 years. After 5 years it begins to degrade nutritionally, but (depending on storage conditions) at a few percentage points a year. The purpose of the inspect date is exactly that. You inspect the MREs looking for bloated packages or compromised packaging which I personally have only seen 6 meals bad out of more than a dozen PALLETS inspected. Its just like your groceries, use your senses of sight, smell, and taste to determine if the MRE is still consumable. Our rule was "WHEN IN DOUBT, THROW IT OUT!"

Good option for shelf stable snacks. Only 4 stars because I received 2 of the same meal in one of the boxes, no big deal.

Great Price -$73 for two 12 package boxes, that's like $3 a meal. Dont like that they have no Exp-dates on the MRE packages.

Excellent for camping or backpacking..full of delicious great tasting meals . So far everything has been great..looking forward to purchasing another 2 box set in the future
