I do not see any mention of it being kosher certified on the package.

Popping sorghum is harder than popping corn; which is why we buy already popped sorghum. I am an expert at popping corn ... I can pop two to three times as much popcorn by volume as my pan will hold by emptying it in mid-cycle, and I never burn any. But, with sorghum, probably because it is not specifically grown to be popped (and therefore, probably does not have enough internal moisture) the process is a bit more like frying than popping. You only get about 40-50% popped, whereas with popcorn I can get 95% of more popped. I recommend just buying the already popped sorghum, expensive though it is.

Q: Is the size of the bag comparably a good price for the quality of the product?

It’s expensive, for sure, but it is so good, and I’ve missed popcorn so much! (Corn allergy) So for me, it is definitely worth the splurge. I’ve tried to pop sorghum seed myself and it never turned out as good as this.
