Palmyth Head Net Hat, Sun Hat Safari Hat

I do my own yard work. This hat has been a life saver! It keeps flying insects and debris from hitting my face when I mow the lawn. It keeps my neck and back protected from the sun. It fit comfortably and blocked sweat from running down my face. I easily fold it around my lawnmower so I don’t forget it.

I ordered this at self-defense while playing with my dog in the dog park in NE Florida. For some reason we aren’t getting the mosquito spraying that we need by the county out in our wooded- swampy dog park area. Having said that we needed defense. Conventional sprays and diggers were merely marinade for the skeeters.🦟 And then it dawned on me, my hunter cousins used fishing hats with netting to go fishing in Florida, why not try that? Well, I found this betted hat as partly stylish And partly function. It turns out it’s really a nice hat. It’s also extremely efficient. You can adjust the base chords to fit snugly. It’s easy and very handy. You can also roll the netting up into the band of the hat if you just want wear it as a hat or you can release it down over your head and neck, then tighten the bottom chording to secure the fit around your neck protecting you from any mosquito infiltration. It also comes with a convenient snap-on neck flap that covers your neck and shoulders, which creates another barrier of protection against the little bloodthirsty menaces. The only downside I found was it is a little warm on 80+ days being the netting is covering your face and you’re wearing a hat. But it is good sun protection. The plus side is that I have not been bitten since I’ve been wearing it. We do get a lot inquiries as to where we bought? So I sent them right over Amazon. They do come in different colors and patterns as well. Happy hunting my friends and enjoy the outdoors more😇. This is a great product. I’ll be ordering another hat soon. Ladies it also comes in pink!

This thing. Saved my eyelashes from countless spider webs. Mosquitos? Didn’t stand a chance from getting near my face. The sun? Blocked. The overall quality of this hat? Superb. It’s lightweight, breathable, comfortable and competitively priced. The color works with just about anything too. Most bugs deflected immediately. Only one got stuck in the netting. And I can’t really fault the hat for that, since the bug was super tiny. The only reason I saw it in the first place was because it was right in front of my eye. 10/10 recommend.

So I have a Samoyed, and if you don't know what that is.. think husky but pure white and a giant furball. We have a high velocity blow drier for bath time and whenever she needs a blowout from blowing her coat. Lets just say it very quickly turns into a snow globe atmosphere and I just dealt with it. Until I watched a grooming video on YouTube where someone suggested using a mosquito hat... I hadn't heard of such a thing so I came to Amazon and searched around until I found this one, read reviews and decided to give it a try. Absolutely love it, gone are the days where hair is getting all over my face, in my eyes and nose! I haven't yet used it for it's intended purpose of blocking flies and mosquitos but I'm sure I will at one point as we also kayak rivers and such and it'll come camping with us whenever we go. I feel a bit dorky wearing it though grooming my dog but I don't really care, I'm sure my neighbors think we're crazy anyways for having such a hairy dog. But boy is she cute and worth it. I went with this one over others due to: *Being able to tuck the net away when not in use, so will protect it. *Ability to just have it as a sunhat and the optional added bonus of the neck protector. Quality seems really nice and I'm really happy with the product.

Fantastic and useful! I was on a trip with my sister on the Amazon river and I wore this for our frequent hikes in the rainforest. Worked like a charm!

I bought this hat for a trip to area known for flies and other irritating flying insects. The net works great, keeps the bugs off my face, out of my eyes, nose, mouth, and ears! And I really like the color I bought (light minty green) But I’m not as happy with the hat when I don’t need the net. It’s impossible to get the net rolled back up tightly enough to not have a bulge in that part of the hat. I don’t think it looks bad, it just feels weird. Still I think that’s better than having a separate net that you have to remember to bring along in case you need it.

I love this outdoors hat!! I do not have the sun shade on in this photo, it snaps on or off - I tucked it in my purse to take with me wherever I go in case I need to use it. I really like how the mosquito netting is hidden in the hat, and both the hat and mosquito netting have drawstrings to make them secure. I purchased this to help with the Coronavirus, and for all the other benefits I will get from using it in Florida weather! It is very lightweight, airy and comfortable. I think this is the best outdoors hat I could find online, or in stores, and at a very, get reasonable price. It looks like it is very well made, good stitching, and the hat folds easily to fit in a pocket, purse, or vehicle. It comes in a variety of colors. I really like this shade of blue! I've been stopped many times by people passing by. They all compliment on my hat and asked me where to buy it. The size fits my head perfectly, protects me from the sun when I hike on the trail. The mesh net is an add-on and keep the mosquitos and flies off.

So pleased with this hat. its good quality and great to have the fly net that can be hidden and un clipped when needed and also the flap at the back if you need it is separate but can be clipped on if needed.

Really good design, I love the detachable flap and how you can still tuck the net into the hat with the flap on or off! Very convenient! The netting itself feels a tiny bit short though and the cinching mechanism on it is a bit hard to press. It gets the job done; my face was protected from the swarms of bugs by the water! I do find the brim bends too much/easily though, which means the netting can pull the brim down slightly to cover your eyes sometimes which is a bit annoying. As for visibility, what another reviewer said was true. If the sun shines on it at the right angle, it’ll be harder to see as it reflects off the netting, creating a golden sheen. Still, I would bring it to hikes. Buttons and fabric seem well made and stitching is nice, although it came wrinkled so I steamed it with a kettle to de-wrinkle it a bit. Seems waterproof enough from basic testing.

Tried for ages to find a good bug hat that's also cute - this is it. Many ways to wear it. Very impressed - I got the coral and the fig and they're extremely true to colour.

Very clever design with detachable shade piece and roll up netting. Can be a bit stuffy in the hot weather with the net down but keeps the flies off your face.
