BaByliss Super-X Metal Series Cordless Clipper ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brilliant quality and really solid construction. It feels professional and powerful, and the battery lasts for ages. The range of attachments makes it easy to get a clean finish, and it cuts evenly without pulling. The only slight issue is that it’s a bit heavier than expected, so it can feel tiring if you’re using it for a long trim. Still, it’s excellent overall and well worth the money.

I bought this to replace a previous model I left in a hotel on holiday. I loved that one, it was definitely a 5-star product. It came with four different heads that could be used for trimming hair and beards, shaving and trimming ear/nose hair. It did all of those things well. Sadly, that model was no longer available, so I bought this one thinking it would be a step forward. Sadly, this product is a regression to me. The head isn't detachable as it was on my previous model. You have just one cutting head, so it doesn't have the same adaptability. The cutting head is quite large, so it can get awkward to handle around the mouth and nose when trimming a beard. Not a problem for me on my old model, just changed the cutting heads. Since there is no foil razor attachment or ear/nose hair trimmer, I can't use it for those things. But, it does cut very well and comes with a good selection of comb guides which are easy to fit and remove. It is easy to clean and comes with a cleaning brush which gets under the blades nicely. There is also a little bottle of oil to keep it lubricated. Battery life seems very good. I've used this several times since I bought it and haven't yet had to recharge it. Probably about an hour of usage on the current charge and the charge indicator still shows a full charge. Charging time I couldn't tell you yet. I have only charged it once, on purchase, and that was overnight while I slept, but I imagine most people will use it this way so it shouldn't be an issue. There is a very clear charge indicator on the handle which shows 5 levels of charge, so you'll get plenty of notice that it needs charging. Overall, it is a very good trimmer and worth the price I paid (25% off). I've only marked it down a star because of the issues I mentioned earlier in this review. It just seems strange to me not to have interchangeable cutting heads that the other model had when they're similarly priced.

Feels very cheap and plastic especially for the price, it broke within a year. For the price I would expect ALOT better. Other brands feel much more quality and are more durable for half the price.

In just over 3.3 haircuts at home (at £20 each), it will have paid for itself. Upon its arrival, a few standout features immediately caught my attention. The clipper offers a wide range of sizes, spanning from 0.5 to 7, with additional options for those seeking seamless fades. Given my thick hair, I was initially concerned about its ability to handle the thickness, but it effortlessly glided through, confirming its status as a top-tier clipper. One of the most impressive aspects is its battery life, which extends up to an impressive 3 hours. This means I can power through multiple sessions without the hassle of constant recharging. Moreover, it's worth noting that the clipper has an aesthetically pleasing design - a subtle but appreciated touch. The noise is half the decibels of my previous clipper, I rate it 6/10 in noise, could be better but anyways it does a great job going though the hair. Initially, there was a hint of apprehension that I might have overspent, especially with more affordable options available on Amazon. However, after experiencing its performance firsthand, any doubt vanished. I can confidently say that this purchase was a wise investment. I wholeheartedly recommend the Babyliss clipper, giving them a perfect 5/5 stars.

Ok you may say I had this unit 2 years, what do I expect?, but for over £100 and with the very little usage it had (average once a week usage at most) I did expect it to last a little longer! Feels premium but beard (stubble) trim wasn’t always smooth. Read the other reviews and you will see the same problems. the unit just turns itself on and can't be turned off. The only way to get it to turn off (and it only works some of the time) is to plug the unit in to the USB charger/charging stand. And then you can’t switch it back on again. Very disappointing and will not be buying another.
