Love this meal pack! Great taste, easy prep & good portion for me. I recently started a weight loss injection program so am eating way less but need to keep my protein intake up. This dehydrated veggie chili packs a bit 12g of protein for a small 100cal. Prepared it makes a good size meal - about 5oz of food which I pair with protein enhanced Kibo chickpea or lentil cracker/chips for a 20g protein/200cal meal which is plenty in volume to satisfy my reduced appetite. I really like the flavor and consistency of the chili - I like it thick so just use 6oz of hot water from my work water dispenser - you can use more for a more soup like consistency. It smells deliciously tomato-y and has a great spice flavor w/out being spicy hot. I got a couple cans of kidney beans (a great source of fiber & protein) and add 1/4 cup to the mix 1/2way thru cooking. I am currently only eating lunch & dinner w/ no snacks & just water or black tea to drink. The sodium level is not horrible in the mix and since I am not intaking any other sodium during the day it is well within healthy limits for me - actually benefits me, keeps me at sufficient levels. **Tip for cooking: use HOT water and microwave at 2 or 2.5min intervals - stirring in between. This will give you a even rehydration and good consistency. I wish this brand had more flavors with this setup/consistency - curry or stew flavors would be fun.

Love this vegetable chilli with beans. High protein meals are hit and miss. This one is a real winner. I add a sprinkle of cheese on top and I feel like I am cheating big time.

Healthy, more flavor than most bariatric foods.

I bought this to have a quick, just add water lunch for work. At around $2 per serving, it seems to fit the bill, but you will only net around 7oz of total product. That's with 6oz water. That is, if you are able to keep all the water in your bowl. When I prepared my first serving, I followed the instructions explicitly. I added 6 oz of HOT water, then placed in the microwave for 5 minutes on HIGH. Well, I trusted the instructions and looked away for a few moments. Next thing I knew, the whole bowl of chili puked all over my microwave after just about one minute into the nuking. And I mean it PUKED. ALL over the microwave. ALL over my microwave safe bowl. All over the counter when I opened the door. UGH. And it dries SO fast that I had to scrub to get much of it completely cleaned up. Today, I tried pack #2. I added only about 4 oz of hot water. Set the paper towel-lined microwave to 75% for 5 minutes. I had to stop it a few times as I kept my eagle eyes on it. So far so good. Topped off the liquid in what looked to actually be a nice, clean, thick bowl of chili. Sigh. 30 seconds into the final 2-minute final cook, it puked again. Sigh. Another 10 minute clean up. Finally, the finished 6oz product seemed too watery. I think around 4oz for 5 minutes at 75% or lower is sufficient. But it just won't fill you up. It tasted good, though, which is why I generously blessed the product with three stars.

I have eaten this in the past and it was ok. I prefer cooking stove top. Keep in mind you can add veggies and seasonings to enhance it. I also like to add seasoned cooked 99% ground chicken to it for extra protein.( 1/2 cup). Perfect portion for lunch, and has a good texture. The calories are reasonable, and good carb count. 1 WW point. ( added green, and red bell peppers, 1/4 tchili powder, a shake of cinnamon, and a few grape tomatoes cut in half, and a few hot pepper flakes for some heat) So yummy!
