Q: What is the range om motion of the gas spring? When arm is fixed on pole, what is the height difference between top and bottom vesa positions?

Max height is up to 23.62", and max extension is up to 18.34"

Q: Looking at the single mount, how far down does it articulate? I need to lower the height of my monitor.

The extension range is 18.34 - 23.64" from low to high. Please check the picture #5 in the product page for more detail.

Q: Can this be safely attached to a glass top-desk?

i would not recommend it. it is very heavy and depending on the monitor it could put too much stress on the glass
