So far, so good
Bought this frame for my elderly mother to view pics of a recent bucket-list trip to Europe. I found the app relatively easy to use. What really makes this frame nice is its large size and touch screen. Yes, it does take a little work to get the images adjusted so heads aren’t cut off, etc., but that’s to be expected due to the differing aspect ratio from the photo itself. It’s a function of the size and would be problematic for any frame of this size, irrespective of brand. The frame is definitely large (a consideration for where the frame can be located), but the pics are easily seen across a room. I also purchased another brand that was at a similar price point but much smaller (10”) that I don’t like nearly as well. The YEMSD frame is nice b/c it can be oriented landscape or portrait (the smaller frame I purchased can only be oriented landscape). I found portrait takes up less table top space and works better for most pics. I also like the fact that each pic can be changed to “fill the frame” or not (where there are side areas with no image), as some photos are suitable for the full frame but some are not. Having the ability to add a caption to each photo is a nice feature. I started by adding a caption for all the photos in a group at once, then going back to edit individual photos to have a unique caption. I did pay for the app upgrade to be able to upload more photos at once. $17/yr is definitely worth it to me if it makes my mom happy. Note: I didn’t seem able to upload any videos before I upgraded to Frameo+, even though with just the free app I should be able to upload at least very short ones. Could be user error, lol.

Don’t buy Frameo digital frame
Don’t waste your money! I would give this minus stars if I could. No way to set this up, software not working, no contents, only a frame with a logo and a dead screen.. No one wants that! Not to mention the 25.00 per month subscription fee! My return window has closed… I will have to trash this nonsense.

Only handles SD and USB drives of up to 32 gigabytes.
It actually has a lot of features I just spent time turning off. I don't want the date and the weather displayed, etc. The image quality is fine. Mostly what I don't like is you are limited to 32 gigs of images on a USB or flash drive. I bought it to display 15 years of wildlife photography. I got two years worth on it.

Great gift!
We got this as a gift and she loved it! Works great on WiFi or hotspot, easy to send photos to with the app, and has tons of storage. Looks great on display.

Uploading issues and touch screen issues
Could not upload pictures through usb a, usb c, sd card, or computer eventhough it says it can. I could only upload pictures and videos through the app. The app only let's you upload 10 pictures at a time or 15 seconds of video unless you pay for an app subscription. Very disappointed in this unit.

NOT a micro SD card slot, description absolutely wrong
CLEARLY states micro sd. double checked first and i bought micro SD. gift for a birthday for my wife. its a STANDARD SD. now i cannot get it to read through the micro to standard SD adapter. it is not finding or showing the pics (that i spent hours preparing in advance for birthday). this is completely unacceptable major error in the product description. ok update: its just really slow but it is reading from the card through a micro adapter. if you plan to copy them over, just wait a long time (ten minutes?). IT USES 4-5GB for the OS. so it will not hold anywhere near 32gb. Same with playing off the card, just wait. it froze on one photo for many minutes then finally started the slide show at the increment from settings, from the SD card. This applies to having many photos, I have thousands (27gb). so i would say it mostly works, except i had set the time, never unplugged it, and the time reverted back to some default. I've set it again and we will see. if that stays then the star rating can go back up. i like the timer, if that works...will turn on and off each day, set for work hours. honesty for using offline only, which was always my intent, i think one i have from 5 years ago has had less problems, a simple interface with a remote and just works, it immediately shuffle plays from a card, and you can use it with a smart outlet (this has warnings not to unplug before shutting down). touchscreen is nicer than a remote. i am not using wifi, cannot comment. i suspect if there's an issue with keeping the time, its possible on wifi you wont have the problem. update2: yea if you power down with the software OS command, it resets the time.
