This Thing Is Amazing
I am 46 and have had progressively worsening hip pain for decades now. For the last eight or so years I have been disabled by it. I need double hip replacements but need to lose some weight before surgery, so, in the meanwhile, I am in constant debilitating pain and cannot stand long at all. Obviously, this dramatically negatively affects what I can do. I have resorted to taking a stroller out places with me for support and hanging a folding chair off of the back to open and sit on whenever I have to (which is nearly constantly). But, this is large, clunky, and not comfortable. I came across the TaDa Chair looking for portable stools and I ordered it and a much less expensive portable collapsing stool to compare for comfort or usability. The TaDa won. Today I went with my family on a garden tour. This thing allowed me to go! I could walk a few steps with the walking stick for very sturdy support, yet it is lightweight. Then I could stop, open it, and sit a few minutes while people explored the area, then move along and repeat. It allowed me to be there! It is very comfortable, which is a lot for me to say as everything hurts my hips. I was worried it would not be wide enough, again I am overweight and pressure on my sit bones hurts due to the pressure it places on my hip joints to just sit. It is super comfortable. While I am still in constant pain, this is giving me back to ability to go some places I wouldn't think of being able to handle before. If you think this might help you at all I encourage you to try it. My teenage son kept trying to sneak a sit on it and even he, who is in great physical shape, found it very nice when his feet were hurting after a long tour (before the garden walk had gone on an hour and a half walking tour of a historical mansion so when he met up with me in the garden his feet were tired). So it is helpful for all ages. This one is also great as it is height adjustable so I could get the cane height just right. And the seat is at a great chair sitting angle so it does not feel like you are squatting. It is easy to get on and off of. And it is so easy to open with one hand and re-close, or if you are going just a few feet, you can leave the seat open and use it as a cane still very efficiently.

Great help for my recent trip.
I had an unexpected injury resulting in sciatica. I bought this last minute to take on a trip that required a lot of walking. It was great to be able to pop up the seat and take a break when needed. Very sturdy as a seat. Not sure it is the best option if you need to rely on it as a walking aid, but for what I needed, a little assistance and mostly the ability to take a break and sit, this was perfect.

Compact, Strong & Super Handy
This Ta-Da Chair Series 2 PRO MAX is a brilliant 2-in-1 solution! It’s lightweight, sturdy, and very easy to use. Works perfectly as a cane and quickly turns into a comfortable seat. Great for travel, hiking, or long queues. Highly recommended for those who need rest on the go!

light - works as a cane and a seat
I bought 2 of these, one for my husband who liked the one I bought for my mother. My husband sees it as a great way to just sit outside where ever he is, we have a largish property and he likes to walk but he has a back condition that requires him to take sitting breaks, now he has this and he can take it on his walks. For me - I tried it and with my height 5' 4", and bad knees - I found it difficult to stand from the seat. Foldability was easy easy. support was strong even for my husbands larger 190 lb body, and the quality I thought excellent.

Great cane/chair
This cane is amazing! I just got it, so we will have to see how it holds up. I took it to Disneyland with me and was able to use it while waiting in lines. The seat is surprisingly comfortable and I have a large behind. I am 5’4” and my husband, with a small behind, is 6’7”, we both sat on it and he even said it is comfortable. It is sturdy and not too heavy/bulky for what it is. So far, so good!

Already in love with this cane/seat!
I previously purchased a different cane/stood and although it worked, it was a little difficult to transition and had a very tiny seat. I saw this cane/chair and it looked like it would a more sturdy. I am excited to say it is! I was a little afraid it would be bulky but it is not. The cane is comfortable for me at 5’2”. It is soooooo easy to convert to the seat. And the seat is comfortable as well as very stable. I am not sure I will use the phone holder but it is a neat feature and does hold the phone well. It is very easy to convert back to a cane too. Came well boxed with instructions on where to push/pull to convert. This will get a lot of use!

Clunky. Expensive. No cushion. No thank you.
Technically, it works. But, it’s awkward to use, uncomfortable to sit on, and not cost-effective. Given the hefty weight and unwieldy nature of using this product as a can, it would be better suited worn with a strap over one’s shoulder. No company has found the magically trifecta of light weight, cushioned seat, and functional cane handling for this type of product. Online reviews say this comes the closest. If true, that is really disappointing, because - for me - this product costs way too much for the marginal value it provides. While it is a relatively stable seat, to really use this product, I need it to have cushioning, and it has none. That is a dealbreaker for me. Unless you are desperate, I suggest you keep searching for something better.

Perfect for our trip
Over the summer we had a trip to Europe planned, and I know the river cruise ship does not allow scooters, and I really don't need one all the time. But when planning on walking a lot on tours, I started looking for a cane chair. I really didn't like the look of the ones that when folded, still have three legs sticking out. I researched and found this one on Amazon, and (being the gadget peron I am) fell in love with this concept. I was a bit afraid that it would be heavy to lug around in the "cane" formation, but I loved that it still only have one leg. So I ordered one, and immediatly knew I had made the right decision... It's simple to open and close, even when moving, and is much more comfortable that some of the others I had looked at. Several other folks on the cruise remarked that it was such a good idea, and one lady, after trying mine, immediately ordered one for herself. Pros: Very sturdy, and easy to open and close even on the move. Not a whole lot heavier than a normal cane. Con: More expensive. A bit heavier than regular cane, but not bad. There are a couple of designs, but this one is adjustable for height of user, the others are not. It has a phone holder and a hook on the handle so would be wonderful for getting off your feet for a little break.
