I love this splatter cover. I'm getting away from plastic and found this microwave food cover in glass. It fits perfectly on top of my microwave's glass tray. It is high enough that I can put a 7 inch pasta bowl in side with plenty of room above and around. It keeps my microwave clean with no more splatter of spaghetti sauce. The boro glass is nice and durable with a good weight to it. Borosilicate glass is what glass artists us to make shot glasses, glass stir sticks, and other food related items with. That was the main reason I selected this specific Splatter Cover. I highly recommend this item. I love it so much that I am purchasing two more for my adult children.

This is the second microwave cover I've purchased - this one is a gift. I am purging ALL plastics and toxins (nonstick pans, etc.) from my kitchen and this product is replacing a plastic microwave cover I'd been using. It isn't too heavy for solid glass although you still need to be careful when lifting it on/off your plates from the microwave. I wash by hand but it does say it is dishwasher safe. It's a good value for the money and easy to store. I use it every day and am sure my friend will also. Works like a charm.

I haven't had this long, but the glass seems to be good quality overall. There are some air bubbles in the glass in a few areas though that annoy me because I'm a bit of a perfectionist, especially because this is a pricier microwave cover, but I'm still glad I purchased it. I was afraid initially to get a glass cover because of various reviews, not on this particular product, but just on glass microwave covers in general, exploding randomly, while being heated, or even while cooling after use, and reviewers having shards of glass all over their kitchens. But, after holding off over a year, I considered that I do cook with glass all the time, casserole dishes, baking, etc., and have never had an issue using glass cookware, so hopefully my long term use of this glass microwave cover will be just as good. There are vent holes to release steam, and the cover is tall enough to fit nicely over any food we heat up, and I have a larger microwave, so I have no issue with the size of the cover. The silicone handle stays cool to the touch and no worries about microplastics. The handle is attached with a small plastic piece however on the inside of the glass, but a glass handle or no handle, wouldn't be feasible. So, I can overlook that. How else would they attach it unless it was glued on? Finally, anything glass has a nice, clean look to it, and is easy to clean and doesn't hold odors or stains, which is also a great plus. I hope long-term use goes well.

I love the height of this microwave cover. I don't have to worry about my food touching the lid compared to other microwave covers. It has a good grip but the weight of the cover is rather heavy. I would rather have the cover be heavy though for extra durability since it is made out of borosilicate glass. It functions well and it keeps my microwave clean (especially for microwaving butter). I like the two steam holes. Just be careful not to place your hand or wrist over it when you are reaching for the handle. The company's logo is not etched on. It's a sticker. I was able to peel it off but it left some residue behind that I wasn't able to clean off. It came with instructions on cleaning it. It says you can unscrew the handle, but I was not able to. All it did was scratch the glass a bit.

Heavy duty glasssware. Easy to clean. Highly recommended.

This is a very nice cover, however it is very heavy. Unless you are fairly strong please reconsider especially if your microwave sits high above your stove.
