For the price I’m really impressed
I’ve often wanted to rack up my Macs in my Studio area but the £200 prices mean’t it kept getting pushed down the list. Then I saw this.. and the mixed reviews. But I thought it was worth a shot. Arrived today. I carefully built it and… it’s great! Stronger than some of the reviews insinuated. I’m going to the order the Mac mini version so I can add my Mini Pro to the rack too.

Not fit for purpose
I would not trust my £4K Apple Mac in this 3D printed monstrosity. Nothing lines up correctly, scratched my Mac trying to put it into it, it’s very flimsy and I don’t think it would hold the Mac Studio safely, especially in transit. Absolute garbage, avoid at all costs.

Be patient with instructions.
Had my Wife not been present with her calm demeanour, this would be in 473 pieces.

I bought the thingsINrack for Mac Studio Rack Mount (19-inch 3U with Remote On/Off Button) and couldn’t be happier. It fits perfectly in my studio rack and looks fantastic! The build quality is solid and durable, and the design is smart and easy to assemble. I didn’t even need the updated 2.0 instructions they sent me! And, it's at a great price! Overall, this is a five star product in every way and I’d give it 10 stars if I could!

This fits the Mac Studio perfectly. I tested it thoroughly to make sure it was solid and stable. The power toggle on the front is super handy, so I don't have to climb behind my rack. It is 3D printed, so it's plastic, but the metal racks cost 4x as much. For the price, this is unbeatable. I'm extremely happy with it.

I really wanted this item to work but unfortunately it is wholly unsuitable for the task it was designed to perform. The mount looks good, and the concept and design are rather ingenious: the 3U mount is really 3 plastic 1U blanks that are cut to fit different devices (a Mac Studio, in this case). The manufacturer has created a design system that can adapt to a wide variety of different devices to allow them to be rack mountable... Sort of... Unfortunately, in this case, the plastic blanks are nowhere near sturdy enough to support the weight of a Mac Studio and the entire mount flexes and bows severely when positioned on the rack (or even just picking it up). My rack is angled back at a rather steep angle, so the computer would hang nearly vertical which at least distributed the weight of the computer evenly and caused the rack faces to bow nearly evenly; I can't imagine how bad the flex would be under the torque caused by mounting on a vertical rack. In the end, the fear of discovering a Mac Studio lying on the floor after the plastic finally gives way outweighed how much I really wanted to like the product and it is going back to Amazon.
