Looks well made.
Haven't tried it yet but on first impression, it's very well made and the gun fit nicely. It arrived quickly and was described perfectly. I am excited to try it for a week or two then will give an added review.Update: After wearing this for a week I can say it's very comfortable and doesn't move around. I tend to forget I am wearing it. I originally bought this hoping it would fit in my cowboy boots but it's much to bulky for that, so be aware if that's your intention. Also the velcro could cover more space for a tighter fit on small ankles, like I have, but the double straps take care of that issue. The under strap tends to come out because the velcro doesn't grab as much of each other but the top strap holds everything secure. Other than that I like the holster is great. Stays in place, stays concealed and holds gun well!

Great holster!
I have been using the holster on duty now for several months and it's worked out great! Being a little skinnier of a person wearing a 30in. waist pant, have made the holster print a little with my Vortex duty pants (looser pants would be better). So if you are thin just keep that in mind. But over all I love the security of the leather holster and the two Velcro positions hold the gun in place very well. I also cut out a lot of the fluff padding on the inside to reduce the amount of printing.

Comfortable, secure and well made.
About the second-best ankle holster I have had. Great selection of handguns coverred.Upside:Very fine construction and machine work.Nice leather.Sheepskin and neoprene is comfortable.Velcro is in two layers, is very solid and secure.Retention is good.Draw is good after minimal break-in.Nicely molded and good fit.Downside:The neoprene is very soft and gets chewed up by. It will not withstand continued use on duty.Watch for:Be sure you want the model you order. Some sellers leave out critical details, such as whether it is for an exposed or covered hammer J Frame. Lucky me, I have both kinds but ended up with the wrong type.Summary:Sufficiently comfortable for use over socks, which is good as boots will kill it very soon.I know people that keep buying these but a common issue is relatively short life of the ankle band.Recommended:Your boot repair place can sew the still useful holster right to a boot or into a jacket when the lag strap is shot.

finally a holster that performs as advertised!
After looking at and comparing brands of ankle holsters I decided on this one because of the full 4 inch contact area at the fastening points. It stays exactly where I put it at 5am till 8 pm everyday. It is made well, silent to wear, a J frame or similar weight gun does not need the calf strap but it is nice that it comes included rather than sold separately like other brands. It did not need a getting used to period, I took it out of the bag put it on and it instantly became a part of me. I work an active job involving climbing on truck beds and heavy equipment dozens of times a day and this holster does the job confidently and deliberately while being so comfortable I forget it's there. I highly recommend you try one. thanks amazon for a reasonable price and prompt delivery.

Very comfortable and light
Very comfortable and light, well made. I have worn this with a S&W 642 for up to 8 hours and I don't really notice it is there. Must twist the thumb break strap a little for hammerless J-frame but it works just fine. Padding is sufficient for comfort, draw is easy. I wear this with cargo pants and low boots so the wide pants leg totally conceals, and the boot keeps the holster from rubbing my ankle bone. I fully recommend this holster.Update Feb 2016 - Have been using this holster a couple of times per week since purchase in 2014. Have worn it as much as 15 hours at a time while driving distance, with little discomfort. I tend to forget I have it on. Still highly recommend this holster.

The best I have found.
This is the only holster I have found for my Smith & Wesson 642 that it fits in perfectly. It's very comfortable. During the winter time by the end of the day you might forget it is there altogether. Summertime on the other hand you might get a little bit sweaty and definitely know it's there. I suggest you wear baggy pants though. It is a little bit bulky.

Great ankle holster
Great ankle holster. It stay put without question even when I am not using the calf strap. The thumb break is great and easy to operate. It is a little hard to put it back on after breaking the clasp but only because the leather is stiff and wants to fight you. I am sure that over time the leather will break in and be easier to do so.

This ankle holater is super comfortable, I forget I have it on all ...
This ankle holater is super comfortable, I forget I have it on all the time. I own a s&w 637 with the hammer because I love single action shooting. It doesn't go over the hammer so you have to wear the holster with it unbuttoned but it holds fine. Only time it slipped out is when I was jumping around but with some modification I'm sure I can get the clasp to click over the hammer
