This gel has medium to strong hold(as mentioned in description) but does not dry my hair out. It really helps in defining my curls. I have used many different gels but they either have strong hold and dry my hair out or have light/low hold and slightly moisturizing. But this one is a balance of both. The consistency is good for a gel and if needed, can be mixed with a little water for freshening up the curls on day 2/3. Also, the gel is really good for layering other products. I have been using this product for 2 years and do not have any complaints about it. The best part(for me) is that it has no scent. I do get migraines because of strong scents and this gel really helps me avoid that problem.

It's an Great Buy .My curls stay frizz free and defined .The best part is it is mild on smell as I am allergic to strong fragrances and it's struggle to find perfume free products in the market. It is CG friendly and give good hold but I feel it is very costly because we don't have much option for curls in Indian Market ,so manufactures use it to their advantage. It's a struggle to push the product out of the bottle ,wish it had a pump or easy to use packaging. Doesnot make your flaky after drying out.

I've tried Devacurl and other more 'trusted' and popular curl gels but nothing works like this. I was a little bit skeptical, but I'm honestly so impressed by this product. it has amazing hold (my curls last for 3/4 days without getting frizzy), doesn't dry out the hair or make it 'crunchy', and doesn't have an overwhelming smell. On top of all that praise, it works wonders with my Shea Moisture and Ouai leave in conditioners and my bumble&bumble sea salt spray. My hair stay soft, I have well defined curls, and they remain in place until my next wash day. Seriously, pick up a bottle. It lasts for a while too, so the price is completely justified for a product that works so well, is made with such high-quality ingredients, and is locally made.

It’s an ok gel. Honestly it has a mild hold. It has no smell and that kinda makes me feel odd because as soon as you sweat a bit it makes my hair smell funny. Maybe that’s just me. My biggest issue with this gel is that it has no slip - like 0. That for me is a dealbreaker. If you can-try the curlsmith soufflé gel - it smells awesome has great slip and gives amazing hold- but the best part is that it has no crunch after SOTC. It honestly makes my bleached hair feel super soft and shiny. You can get it on curls boutique or nynm. Back to ashba - I am honestly never going to repurchase the gel or the leave in. But every product/brand reacts very differently to curly/wavy hair so don’t take my word for it… experiment with products and then find out what works for you. I have 2 abc curl patterns, normal porosity, medium density hair. But currently it is also bleach damaged so maybe that is why ashba does not suit me.

I have unruly curly, very dry n frizzy hair. Although there were imported products available, I was skeptical to buy those owing to pricing, mixed reviews, shipping, returns etc. Plus its hair... No mistakes there! Glad to have stumbled upon this product. Online reviews of this product were impressive. Order was delivered very next day. Now my curls are well defined n soft n smooth even 3-4 days after application. I have received compliments from friends and family for my locks. Thank you Ashba & Amazon for this product. My hair is wavy-curly. I bought this to try the curly-girl method but this disappointed me. It made my hair dry the crusty. It only lasts the first day, post which you hair will be a mess. I'm glad I only bought the mini size instead of wasting my money on the full size.

I was a bit skeptical at first because it isn't a cheap product so i followed the CG method for a good one month before i decided to buy this. This is what i suggest - follow the CG method with aloe vera gel and see how your curls/waves react to it. Then proceed to buy this. This picture shows my first use and I AM IMPRESSED. My waves have never looked so shiny and defined. I have fine hair and I live in a very hot city so I sweat a lot. The waves are still defined the next day. I wash on day three (can't go wash free more than that). I have not used the leave-in conditioner. I just use my normal conditioner as my leave-in. I will wait for another month before investing in the leave-in. It is not heavy and does not weigh my hair down. It also does not have any strong artificial fragrance which I love because as a curly/wavy girl you're already putting too many things in your hair. Since I haven't used it for too long, I do not have a con to write about, but I took away one star because of its pricing.
