Persil Wonder Wash Odour Defy Bio Liquid Laundry 1.485 L (55 washes)

I just LOVE this detergent. I use both the blue ones (I haven't tried the pink one as it's never in stock). Both blue ones wash fabrics exceptionally well on short cycles, cutting my work in half. I believe that odour defy is a bio? Before starting to use this I spent so much time having to re-wash clothing that wasn't clean enough on both short cycles and hour long regular cycles. Everything comes out smelling fresh and amazing. I have a lot of grimy, stained washing with everything from food stains to mud and anti perspirant stains and it cleans the lot off with hardly any fails. It's so easy to throw in as the cap produces a standard measure - I've never needed to use more than a cap full (whereas with the standard Persil liquids I often found myself adding an extra glug for good measure). It just cleans perfectly and smells fabulous. Clothes are soft. No reported skin issues from a family with soap allergies, eczema, and psoriasis. I can't get over how it still smells great after a tumble dry either. The quality is great. It also looks top quality; whoever designed this product packaging is genius as it breaks the mould on drab white containers and you can see exactly how much is left in the bottle which is a bonus. For info, my fab results come from a 30 minute mixed load cycle at 30 or 40 degrees, and a 20 minute quick wash on the same. 6kg standard washing machine without bells or whistles. Whilst Amazon carry on selling it for a good price, I'll keep buying it from here as it beats the supermarket offers.

This is the best of all laundry liquids. It smells amazing and the scent lingers for a good while after using. I feel like it gives a deep clean. I can react to detergents but not with this one. One thing I would say is to use Calgon or similar type product when using liquid detergent as it will eventually cause clogging and collect water deposits inside the drawer and around the rim of the machine. But it’s a really effective, fresh smelling product that I use all the time. Slightly overpriced on Amazon (Morrisons)

I chose this detergent specifically to test whether a formula designed for short cycles can genuinely replace longer, energy-heavy washes without compromising cleanliness. In use, the liquid is moderately viscous and pours cleanly from the cap without splashing, making accurate dosing straightforward. I found that the recommended 27 ml was sufficient for lightly to moderately soiled loads, even on 15 to 30 minute cycles at 30 degrees. Gym wear and cotton basics came out noticeably fresher, with odours removed rather than simply masked, which suggests the enzyme system is doing real work in limited time. Across repeated washes, the formulation has proven consistent, with no residue left in the drawer or stiffness in fabrics once dry. The fragrance is assertive straight out of the machine but settles to a clean, neutral freshness rather than lingering aggressively. Those sensitive to perfume may still want to be cautious, but from a performance standpoint this delivers exactly what a rapid-cycle detergent should. It has earned a permanent place in my laundry rotation for everyday loads.

Really strong scent that has definitely got the odor out of blankets that smelt doggy. I also used it to wash my dog coat that had a wet dog smell that I couldn't rid of and it also got some mud stains out too. The only downside is it has given me a bit of a headache, but I'm sure that when it's dry it will be fine.

Washes up laundry perfectly and smells divine

This is by far the most amazing liquid I have ever used in my washing machine . I usually put about 6 times the recommended amount in my washing machine to get my washing smelling how I want it to smell. I have done 5 loads on a 15 degrees fast wash and not only are the clothes unbelievable clean but they smell absolutely amazing . I’m not really one for writing reviews but I had to for this because it’s so good . I will never use anything else again .

I have to say, I'm hugely impressed with this detergent. My chap has MS and often has mishaps in the bed resulting in bedding changes more often than I care to admit to, I switched over to this and my bedding has never been cleaner even after a 30 wash. All of the old blood stains from his open wounds and various bodily fluids that leak from the bottom end of his body all removed after a couple of washes so it works well on old stains too. I use this on longer hot washes too which is where the ultra clean results are really noticeable. I was hanging my sheets out on the line and couldn't help but notice just how bright and clean they had become 👌 I don't think I'll be changing detergent any time soon I'm super stoked I've finally found a detergent that doesn't cost the earth and actually does the job. I pair it with botanical elixir which really sets the freshness and softness off. If I'm drying in the house the lovely smell fills the entire house so win win. I suffer with sensitive skin where some detergents cause itching but non of that, long lasting freshness, hard-core dirt busting and when ironed the aroma lasts much longer when taking items out of the wardrobe weeks later.
