Burg-Wächter 15mm 2.1M Security Cable

I use this for locking down my ooni. When not in use I feed the cable through the chimney hole and out through the oven door, and loop it through the workbench it sits under. I have the ooni karu 12g and this cable is a a tight enough fit for the flexibility, that any thicker would be inadvisable and, as it is, provides good reassurance that it would deter casual thieves. The orange tabs do get knocked back down the cable when feeding through the chimney which exposes a 1/2 inch of bare metal which could scratch the ooni, but as this is hardly an intended usage I'm not going to dock a point, and some duck tape should easily sort this out. The rest of the cable is very well protected. I just let the ooni drop down below 60C before putting it away to avoid melting the plastic wrap. Should be sufficient.

A very sturdy cable, combined with a D lock it has kept my electric bike secure for many months in a variety of spots. Good length to loop through the front and rear wheel, a secure locking point and a D lock - just enough but not slack enough to allow any movement while locked. So far so good- it's chunky to transport but worth the peace of mind.

Bought this for my bike and ended up letting my son have it for his bike, but it’s an excellent cable, well worth every penny. Will be ordering another one for myself as I found the one that came with my D lock was so short that it made it such a hassle locking it, this one is so much easier and a lot thicker. If you value security then this is an excellent choice and competitive in price. Highly recommend

This is a well made strong product that is quite light for its size. I and a friend on tour in Europe this year used the cable to lock 2 jackets, 2 helmets and the 2 bikes together with no problem.

It's not massively secure as it's not no thick but when added to a chain on the wheel of my motorcycle it can additionally secure the bike to a rail or lamppost as additional security. The loops at the end are good as you can thread the cable through one end and attach it to a bar or post then thread you main security device though the loop at the other end

it's seems that the metal is very soft

Nachdem mir ein Sesseldreirad geklaut wurde, habe ich nach dem dicksten und robustesten Schlaufenkabel gesucht und bin bei Sterling gelandet. Ich habe nur eine Hand, und das Anschließen meines Rads darf nicht zu kniffelig sein. Daher ist die Länge von 2,1 m für mich praktisch, zumal ich mit dem Dreirad manchmal nicht so nah an einen Pfosten, Baum oder andere geeignete immobile Gegenstände herankomme. Jetzt fühle ich mich wieder sicherer, wenn ich mein gutes Stück unbeaufsichtigt lassen muss. Leicht ist das Schlaufenkabel mit 1,1 kg natürlich nicht, aber es soll ja nicht aus leichter Ummantelung, sondern aus Stahlseil bestehen.
