Amazing Monitor
If you're stuck on choosing which OLED monitor to buy, definitely get this one. It has the best colors and the sharpest images I've ever seen on any monitor. Its super easy to setup and the stand is incredibly sturdy. The screen is blazing fast thanks to the extremely low response times and high refresh rate. The 2k resolution is crystal clear while gaming or watching movies. You wont have to worry about burn in at all with this monitor since is comes packed with many features to prevent it. Overall 10/10 monitor, best purchase for my setup hands down.

Best bang for your buck OLED
If you’re looking to dive into OLED without spending a fortune, the MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED is a great option. The picture quality is amazing—deep blacks and vibrant colors that really stand out. It’s perfect for gaming, movies, and content creation. The 360Hz refresh rate and ultra-fast response time make it perfect for fast-paced gaming, delivering a super smooth experience with no motion blur or screen tearing, especially with G-Sync support. The design is sleek, with slim bezels and an adjustable stand for comfort during long sessions. Plus, it has HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4, ensuring you're future-proofed for next-gen gaming. For the price, this is by far the best bang for your buck in OLED monitors. You get premium quality usually reserved for much more expensive options, making it the ideal choice if you want to experience OLED without breaking the bank.

Best Gaming Monitor
The MAG 271QPX monitor is the best gaming monitor I've used. The smooth and clear image, alongside great colors and contrast makes the experience amazing, especially for gaming. The monitor supports proper HDR which makes scenes in games and media pop with color and highlights. 360hz with instant pixel response times also makes it excellent for competitive gaming. It's very easy to recommend this monitor if you want a better gaming experience. Pros - Amazing contrast and colors from qd-oled display. - Instant pixel response times results in no ghosting or artifacts in the image. - Super smooth image from 360hz refresh rate. - Proper HDR support transforms the experience of games and media. - HDMI 2.1 for proper console support. - OSD is easy to navigate. - 3 year burn in warranty Cons - Oled has risk of burn in so you must ensure you are using the built in oled care features. - DSC required for 360hz which makes alt-tab from games take longer. - VRR flicker is sometimes present in games (mostly in loading screens, disabling VRR fixes it).

Outstanding Gaming Monitor with Minor Trade-offs
I recently upgraded to the MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED from my previous 1440p IPS monitor, and the difference is striking. The most immediate improvement I noticed was the incredible contrast - blacks are truly black, not the dark grey I was used to. Playing darker games like horror titles or space-based games is a completely different experience now. The 360Hz refresh rate is incredibly smooth, though I'll be honest - the jump from my old 165Hz wasn't as dramatic as I expected. Still, in competitive FPS games, there's a noticeable improvement in motion clarity and responsiveness. The 0.03ms response time eliminates virtually all ghosting, which is great for fast-paced gaming. Colors are vibrant without being oversaturated, and HDR content looks fantastic. I appreciate that the monitor comes with its own calibration report, though I did spend some time tweaking settings to get everything just right for my setup. My main gripes are relatively minor. The mandatory pixel cleaning process can be annoying, especially during longer gaming sessions. For productivity work, text clarity is good, though you might notice some fringing if you sit very close to the screen. I sit about 30 inches away and haven't had any issues. Eye strain can be a factor during long sessions, but taking regular breaks (which we should all do anyway) helps mitigate this. Build quality is solid, and I appreciate the understated design - it doesn't scream "gaming monitor" like some competitors. The stand offers good adjustability, though I ended up mounting it on an arm for better desk space management. For the price point, especially when on sale, this monitor offers exceptional value in the OLED gaming monitor space. While not perfect, it strikes an excellent balance between gaming performance, image quality, and price. Pros: Exceptional contrast and black levels Super smooth 360Hz refresh rate Minimal ghosting Great HDR performance Reasonable price for QD-OLED Cons: Mandatory pixel refresh can be intrusive Some eye strain during extended use Peak brightness could be higher Would I recommend it? Absolutely, especially if you can catch it on sale. Just be aware of the OLED-specific quirks and maintenance requirements.

Absolutely Amazing OLED Experience at an Incredible Price!
Got my MSI MAG 271QPX QD-OLED and I’m honestly blown away! The picture quality is incredible — the blacks are so deep, and the colors just pop like nothing I’ve seen before. Whether I’m gaming or watching movies, everything looks amazing. The 360Hz refresh rate is a game changer, especially for fast-paced games. It’s super smooth, and I haven’t noticed any motion blur or screen tearing, even with my G-Sync setup. The design is sleek and modern, with really thin bezels and an adjustable stand that’s perfect for long sessions. Plus, it's got HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4, which is awesome for future-proofing with next-gen consoles and high-end GPUs. Honestly, for the price, this monitor punches way above its weight. You get that high-end OLED experience without spending a fortune, which is rare. I’m super happy with my purchase — if you’re on the fence about upgrading to OLED, this one is totally worth it!

As of today (12/27/24) it's been a disappointment (EDITED 1/5/25)
I installed this monitor on 12/22/24 and I'm writing this review on 12/27/24. Due to life changing things I'm no longer able to game as much as I used to so in those 5 days I probably have 5 hours or less of usage in this monitor. I have been having the issues seen and described in the video since 12/26/24. It started with some medium size artifacting every 10 seconds or so and it's gotten to the point where the monitor is unusable because the artifacting covers the whole screen and I lose image. Things I have done so far to try and fix the issue: 1) Gave the monitor a reset to its factory settings. No luck 2) Swapped the display port cable that I had for the one included with the monitor (my old one can be seen in the video hanging in the bottom of the monitor). No luck 3) Updated the monitor to the latest firmware. No luck I have only one thing to try and it's changing the display port cable again. To my surprise, I didn't know that Display Port 2.1 existed and that fiber optic DP cables existed. Doing research on this issue I found that out. So I had to end up ordering a Fiber Optic DP cable that costed me almost $30 for a 6.6Ft. Sadly I'm going to have to wait a very long time to get the cable since I live in Puerto Rico and Amazon has terrible service to Puerto Rico, even as a Prime member. Wait times of over 3 weeks to finally get my items In conclusion and short term review: Pros: • OLED is on another level! Image quality is outstanding! Its the most beautiful image I have seen in a screen. Incredibly accurate colors out of the box, the deepest blacks I've seen. Can imagine with some tuning it only getting better. The incredibly fast pixel response time gives you an image with pretty much no overshoot making it look blur free. It's something you have to try by yourself to truly appreciate and experience. • 27" is new to me. I've only had 24" monitors before this one so it's been nice to have a little bit bigger screen. • 1440p it's also new to me. Never before had I gamed at 2K res. The difference is so noticeable with the image quality and the sharpness • Aesthetically beautiful monitor. What can I say? The design makes the monitor look very modern but not too "gamery". It looks great • 360hz is also new to me and WOW! The smoothness of the image is incredible! Even in the desktop moving my cursor around I can notice a huge difference from a TN 240hz panel to this beast OLED 360hz monitor. Cons: • I think we all can agree that these issues I'm having are a deal breaker. Especially in the short amount of time I have had with this monitor and the short amount of usage. Only around 5 hours of use in 5+ days. • Updating the firmware is not the easiest thing to do at first. The software is pretty bad and there's no clear, specific to this monitor instructions coming from MSI on how to do it. I contacted MSI's support trying to get some help and they weren't helpful at all. I ended up figuring the issue out by myself. • Updating the firmware didn't fix the issue • MSI's customer support wasn't helpful I pretty much never review anything, especially with photos or video but I felt I had to let everyone looking to buy this monitor know about the issues you can have with it. At the time being, to be able to use the monitor, I had to set it at 120hz. I have the issue described at 240hz and 360hz. I don't have an option in between 120hz and 240hz. That would require creating a custom resolution. But what's the point of getting a 360hz monitor if to have a "problem free" experience you have to set the refresh rate at 120hz? Once I receive the high bandwidth fiber optic Display Port 2.1 cable I will update this review. I'll try to get one locally as Amazon wait times to my country are ridiculous and the return window for the monitor gets closer with each day that goes by. I will update the review also if I end up returning the monitor to Amazon EDIT (1/5/25) I ended up returning the monitor on 12/30/24 as the issues I described and showed on video in this review persisted and even got worse. I was too scared that the return window would close and I ended up with a $650+ paperweight.

not "life-changing", but definitely worth it.
To be honest, I really like this monitor, and coming from a 1440p 165hz IPS, the 360hz makes it feel smoother and the OLED response time feels wayyy snappier than my old monitor. Although the contrast is better on the OLED, many people say "Once you go OLED you can't go back". I'd say it's partly true, but not life-changing lol. 1. I haven't noticed a lot of the cons that people put with OLED monitors. Firstly, people say the text fringing is bad, or where you can see the background OLED colors on black text, but honestly, I haven't noticed it at all, I sit about 32'' away from my monitor and the text looks the same as on my IPS and even clearer I'd say, the only time when I notice it is from a weird viewing angle but as long as you're looking at your monitor normally I don't think you'll see it. 2. I also noticed not too much reflection, and I use my monitor in a well-lit room, I'd say the only time I can really notice any reflection is when it's all black, but at that point even IPS has reflections. 3. I will say I HAVE noticed some eye strain in prolonged use, but as long as you take breaks like you should with any other screen, my eyes never get to the point where they make doing anything a nuisance. 4. I use this monitor for both singleplayer gaming, competitive gaming, and some daily tasks like college work, etc, and it works perfectly fine, and I'd recommend getting this monitor if it's in your price range, I am a peripheral fanatic and love to squeeze every dollar I can, and when I got this is was the cheapest 360hz OLED on the market, and so far I have loved it.
