I like cheese as a low carb, filling snack but sliced cheese is far more expensive than block cheese so I was looking for a good slicer for block cheese. This KITCHENDAO slicer fills the bill very nicely. I chose the stainless steel version to make it very easy to clean and light in comparison to the marble or wooden based varieties. The cutting wire is thin but strong and easily slices through even hard cheeses. The slicer comes fully assembled but it comes with two replacement wires. I haven't had to replace the wire yet but it looks very easy to change and adjust. Since I received the KITCHENDAO slicer I have used and cleaned it daily. It cuts cleanly and is a breeze to clean with just a little soap and water then I let it air dry. I use it so often that it is more convenient to hand wash rather than machine wash but it looks like it would be fine in a dishwasher. I wash the slicer promptly after using since the cheese will dry and harden on the cutting wire which makes it more complicated to clean it properly. I can't speak to the marble or wood based versions of this slicer but I'm extremely pleased with the stainless steel version and highly recommend it!

The Kitchendao cheese slicer worked perfectaly. Had 4 blocks of sharp cheddar and pepper jack cheese sliced up and ready for the smoker in less than 10 min. Clean and staight cuts. Included extra cutter wires was nice. Only wished the size grid was in inches but was able to make it work. Large enough for my 2 x 4 x 7 in cheese blocks but small enough to store in kitchen drawer. Was easy clean up with soap and water and ready to go for next job.

This cheese slicer has to be one of my favorite tools in the kitchen. It is sturdy, well-made, and easy to use. The slicer even comes with a replacement wire. It isn’t heavy, and it looks great. It makes preparing snacks so easy. I would definitely recommend this product.

This slicer is very good—very good indeed—and it cut through cheese with no issues at all. The board and measuring grids make it easy to get clean slices, and it handled soft and semi‑hard cheeses without a problem. Just don’t expect it to do double duty; I tried it on pepperoni and it didn’t work. Overall, it’s a solid buy and well worth the money if you stick to cheese.

This works fast and easy. At least it should. I can see that if you mash down on the slicer, I can see it not lasting long, but if, like me, you give just mild pressure, it works fine. I've cut dozens of blocks of cheese in mine and can see no indication that it's getting warped or falling apart. It comes with a spare wire to replace if the first one gets loose/bowed. I've kept it. But haven't needed it yet, after a year. This is one of those products that you receive, use, and say, "wow...I got more than my money's worth!

This is the best cheese slicer! The wires are thick and strong and slices/cubes most cheeses quickly and easily. It washes up great in the dishwasher and is fairly thin and easy to store when not in use. Highly recommend!

Product as described....definitely fit for purpose. Far superior than previous ones purchased.

For the price this is an amazing little cheese wire. Don’t think it would be good for very hard cheese, but semi soft and semi firm - everyday cheddar types - it works like a charm. I have to travel for work and this is great for cutting up cheese samples and works for large pieces of around 1.5kg. Being stainless it cleans easily too. It does come with extra wires but I have not needed to use them yet as no issues with the installed one breaking.

Cuts cheese with ease, better than a knife. Good quality construction, would recommend.
