It's a really good kids diary set except the pen has a flaw. The gem on the top can easily unscrew!! When I received my package, I realized you can hear something rattling in the box, I was so confused. But when I opened the package I realized the gem on the top of the pen came loose and about 100 tiny gemstones from inside the pen had fell out. I was able to put them all back inside but the gem on the top of the pen is still easily able to be unscrewed. Other than that, It's great, I'd buy another one, my daughter loves it! Great price, easy to use the lock too!

Bought two of these in different colors for granddaughters’ vacation journals. They loved that they could lock them so no prying eyes could read private thoughts if books were left their room while out touring. Locks proved sturdy.

This is a gorgeous plush diary but the lock functionality stopped working so that it would open without being unlocked, and the pen snapped in half in my son’s backpack. We had to go with another option. I think if it’s not being carried around and just lives on the child’s desk then it would have been fine, but my child likes to take it in the back bag so we needed something more sturdy.

Cute…matches my office binders, bookends, etc.

I got this for my nieces and she loves it so much very good for a birthday present
