Noveltex Fabrics UR-212 European 100% Linen Oatmeal Fabric by the Yard

This was the exact thread count I was looking for and it was a true bright white.

Lovely deep color. Nice fabric weight and drape. Will be ordering more.

Update: I made a pair of pants with this fabric (a pattern I’ve made before that fits and wears nicely) and after 5 wears it has giant holes in it. Do not buy this fabric for garments. / I haven’t sewn with it yet, but the fabric feels great after a wash. You’ll want to wash it alone as it SHEDS. My entire dryer lint trap was filled to the top with fuzz from the teal linen. There was also a two yard length of pink linen in with it and it’s so covered in fuzz from the teal, it looks purple - and it’s not dye transfer, just fuzz; the color held just fine.

My first time purchasing fabric from Amazon. I was pleasantly surprised. I read previous reviews and felt confident with my order. Quality linen for the small price. As stated in other reviews this color Elephant is more green-grey than true grey. The hand only got better after washing & drying.

Love how this feels! Because I wanted to soften it, I washed in hot water and used vinegar as a natural softener in my washing machine. Nice and thick and supple.

Medium heavy linen. Gorgeous color. Will order more.

I liked the fabric when I got it, but because I had been going through some health issues since last year, today was my first day to really SEE the fabric when I went to cut off what I wanted of the 2 yards I purchased. WOW....what a disappointment THAT WAS! 1) The fabric had been sewn together (apparently on the bolt) and I had to cut off a good 1/2" of it to get all those wobbly zig-zags cut OFF. 2) it apparently was also CROOKED on the bolt because where the cut was made for my order, THAT END was OFF by 6" and the salvages were NOT together, they were a good 1/2" off there, too. It was cut at an angle / not straight. 3) While I will go on and make what I intended to make with the part I cut off, I will NOT buy from this company again. The price I paid per yard should have been TOP QUALITY.....it was not.

The material is buttery soft, but it will shrink significantly. Cross machine stayed fine, but machine direction it lost 15% of its length. My washing technique is cold wash in a bag (to prevent fraying), and tumble ultra-low heat - still in the bag. My two yards were supposed to make 2 body pillow cases, but unfortunately can only make one now.
