It's as good as any scissor jack I've had in previous cars.I tried it out today whilst fitting some mudflaps to my car. It winds up easily and fond the ratchet handy.It lifted my car ok and it weighs about1.4 Tonnes.If you have a heavier car than that it might be worth going for something more substantial but at this price it's ideal for changing tyres and lifting the car to put on stands occasionally.
