Excellent book for learning about neuroscience

Quite understadable

I chose my rating because this book was a very practical and helpful tool in introducing me to neuroscience as it relates to counseling. Chad is personable in his style of writing which makes the topic much easier to understand. There are some grammatical errors throughout the book but that is my only issue I had with the book.

This text by Luke really hits home for any counselor or therapist who wants to know practical and easy steps on how to integrate the latest neuroscience research into the therapeutic relationship! Well-written book ahead of its time. Highly recommend!

The book is very informative, well organized and easy to read. There are many examples from counseling setting which is very helpful in understanding theories.

The first chapter of the book refers to a case with a new counselor "Juanita" and her client "Billy" there is a quick intro on Juanita but there is no vignette on Billy. So, I have no point of reference for the entire chapter. Also, I am finding grammatical errors. Who proofread this? I am feeling frustrated reading this and wish I had purchased a different book to get an introduction to this area of counseling.

Amazing book! I highly recommend it to anyone studying Addictions Counseling.
