This is pretty inexpensive for a Manhasset. If you need to bring your brightly colored stand to gigs, you'll never forget to take it home again, and if you do forget it, chances are that you'll get it back.I gave out a few as gifts, and they were happily received.While you assemble it and have the wrench and screwdriver in your hand, don't forget to adjust the desk to the firmness you wish. I like mine with slightly less give for heavier stand lights, plungers, etc.My son notes that the non-matte finish, while attractive, is a little more slippery for loose music than matte.

I am in love. This is just what I was looking for. It adds a great pop of bright color in contrast with the bland and flimsy metal stick style music stands. If you plan to keep your music stand in one place and don't need portability, give this brand a shot. Great quality and looks very sturdy and durable. Note: we needed to get out the wrench to put it together, but that was all of 3 minutes of work.

It's a music stand! Sturdily made, easy to put together and the color looks great. I wasn't impressed with the "flimsy" looking portable stands. The black metal stands seemed too much like my High School Band Room and also, I didn't want to pay a small fortune for a wood stand, so, this was a good compromise. The shipping box arrived from UPS pretty beat-up and smashed, but the music stand fortunately was OK.

Better than expected

My daughter has long waited for a music stand to use when she plays violin. She was determined to wait until she could get a good, sturdy one that wasn't going to fall over with every little breeze and bump. This stand certainly has made her happy. She takes it even outside to use when she plays outside! The red color is very cheerful and goes with every thing by going with nothing. ;-) We are very happy with it. Johnston Strings also shipped promptly and even included a coupon for free shipping on our next order from them--great people!

Very nice stand. Had slight ding/dent but not too big a deal! It is green so don't be concerned about the pic (forest green I would say). I would encourage anyone making the purchase to pick up a set of foot guards if you will be moving it about and are concerned about scratches to wood or tiled floors.

C'est le pupitre à avoir chez soi qui s'adapte à toutes les situations et se règle d'une main en hauteur et en inclinaison. En métal , solide et très bien construit, c'est un pupitre qui m'accompagnera pour plusieurs années. En plus, le vert est sympa et plus gai que l’éternel noir.

譜面台の首が最初キツキツで音もでましたので、金管楽器のグリスを揮発性オイル(ジッポーオイル)で溶いて接触部に流し込んだら、一晩置いとけば問題なくなりました。色(グリーン)は思ったより明るく最初はなれませんでしたが、部屋に放置しとけば馴染みます笑。色、最初は気に入ってなかったですが、買って1ヶ月くらい経つと愛着も湧いてきます。ステッカーを貼ると映えます。ご存知の人もいると思いますが、スマホを置いて音を出せば、音が増幅装置されます。(何故か…。)かなり丈夫です。色はよくあるブラックのように、つや消しにはなっていませんでした。テカテカです。でもステッカー貼れます！
