I carry a calendar/project binder with me everyday and this is the pen I keep in the pen holder. It takes quite a beating in my work truck. After 8 months of use it has held up great. Pros: Stays clipped and also un-clips nicely from my floppy pen holder. Clip is thin, but has held up better than I expected and hasn't bent. Black paint(?) finish has held up great with no scratches or chips. Ink writes reliably even when it sits in a cold truck over night. Feels solid, balanced and not too heavy. Cons: Ink is a little "sticky" as with most Lamy inks (similar in my experience to fisher space pens). Eraser cap seems easy to lose (see Q's and A's), so I tightened mine up by pinching it just a touch to keep it snug. You can retract all the inks/pencil, but it doesn't "click" into those positions - this seems like an issue if you were going to carry it in a shirt pocket - I keep mine turned to the pencil when I'm not using it to avoid it slipping to one of the inks and writing on me or something else. Would I buy this again? Absolutely. It's tough, reliable, and looks great. Edit: I’ve carried this pen for over 18 months now. It has a little bit of wear at the edges of the metal, but no scratches through the paint anywhere. Ink replacements are easy to find. Clip is still holding strong, and I haven’t lost the eraser cap!

Best writing instrument I’ve ever owned.

Top of the line pen, construction is amazing and the feel of the pen is great. Well balanced in my hand, selecting the various options (blue, red, pencil) is simple and it writes great. Very handy to have multiple colors and a pencil all available from one pen. The eraser under the cap is easy to use and the pocket clip holds the pen tightly in either my notebook or my shirt pocket. Highly recommneded for anyone looking for a well-made multi pen.

Neato-keano! A pen (black and red) AND a mechanical pencil? Yes please. Unlike other multicolor pens the barrel size is not overly bulky and thus uncomfortable. This one fits perfectly into my hand and is super swell to write with. The only drawback is that the cap that covers the eraser is not well attached and I did eventually loose it. Once that happens good luck, it’s not easily replaceable.

Achtung ! Ich glaube, Lamy stellt diesen Kugelschreiber nicht mehr her? Jedenfalls wird es schwierig ihn zu kaufen und auf Lamys Internetseite ist er verschwunden. Ich benutze diesen Kugelschreiber / Tri Pen in schwarz seit über 14 Jahren. Er ist zuverlässig, leicht zu bedienen - ich hatte noch nie Probleme damit. Vorsichtshalber habe ich mir einen zweiten und meiner Tochter einen fürs Abi gekauft. Wer einen Kugelschreiber braucht für einen Kalender oder um etwas zu überarbeiten, kann mehrfarbig unterstreichen, Notizen machen oder im Kalender Termine, die noch nicht festehen mit Bleistift reinschreiben, um sie ggfs. mit einem Radiergummie wieder entfernen zu können. Des Weiteren benutze ich noch den Mehsystemschreiber Lamy 2000, von dem ich ebenfalls begeistert bin. Alles geht leider doch nicht digital oder macht dann nur noch halb soviel Spaß ! Die Kritik, einer anderen Rezession, dass der Schreiber hakelig ist, kann ich nicht bestätigen. Und aus eigener Erfahrung weiß ich, dass die Drehtechnik mehr aushält als ein Klicksystem.
