Surprised and impressed by the quality of this cutter.
I’ve had some pretty big disappointments when buying cutters and bits made in China. They were poorly made and dull out of the box. Not the case with this one. Thanks to the positive reviews on this cutter and the very reasonable price, I decided to give it one more try. I needed the cutters but didn’t want to pay the high price that Dremel wants for their version of the same thing. Right out of the box, I was impressed. They are well machined and very sharp. I used a single cutter on this entire project, to lower the depth of the lattice design 1/4”. The wood is Mimosa appx 10”x 15”. I did it in three passes, increasing the depth each time, for better control, to prevent tear out and to prevent overheating the cutter and dulling it. It cut clean, left no fuzz and a smooth, easy to sand finish. One cutter did the entire job and though I could tell right at the end it obviously wasn’t as sharp as it was in the beginning it was still doing a beautiful job and has some life left in it. Don’t be afraid to give them a try. Hopefully you will be as pleased as I am.

Nice cutter!
This is a good bit with some specializations. Run this on a Shapeoko with a Bosch 1617. Feeds at 100IPM with a 3/8" DOC at full RPM. Works extremely well on thin plywood (1/4") as you do not need tape to hold the board down, since the cutter will not pull up like it will with spiral flutes. On thicker materials, such as 3/4" ply, you will wind up with a layer of compressed sawdust holding the part in place, which makes cleanup a touch more difficult, as in some instances a screwdriver is required to separate the dust from the cut, but the edge quality is extremely good. Longevity is a tad short, like most of the HQMaster bits, sometimes the bit will go 10hrs or so of straight cutting before you notice signs of dulling (rougher edges, more RPM loss when cutting, etc) and sometimes they will shatter.

Good value!
No complaints on these bits at all. They are sharp and cut through soft wood with no issues. I'm running all of my 1/8" bits at a very conservative feed and stepover but did manage to screw up on feeds on a deep cut and broke a bit. I feel this is my fault vs the bits though. Recommend if you're looking for an economical set of end mills.

Works fine for the price.
I used them and cutted ca. 5 hours with my CNC until I had to change.I had better and worse straight router bits. If they would be a bit sharper I would have given 5 stars. (Had ones normal china straight bits and they were so sharp that you easily could cut your finger installing them.)

1/8 Bit worked in oak with router. Only used 1 bit for whole screen door spline. Excellent
Thought I would need all of these to route a 1/8" screen spline 1/4" deep in the oak door I built. Only did passes of 1/8 inch and went slow. Had my colt router on half speed too. Started slowing down towards the end but I was stubborn and wanted to see if I could make the bit last the whole job, IT DID. It was a little heat discolored at the end so threw it out. Still got 9 more!! Prob 16 feet of routing done with one bit. VERY GOOD!

Very Very good router bits.
These are the only bits that i use. They last very well out of the bits that I have bought I have only broken one. I mainly use them on soft pine but have used them on Oak and other hardwood but I drive them extremely hard 100 ins per minute 30in/min down and .0032 each pass. They maintain their sharpness very well and I will get a production run of about 30 units per cutter. When I notice that the cut edge is becoming a little fuzzy I will change it out. As for the individual that complained that they were not 1/8 all the way down you have to have clearance down the sides of the cutter. It is not a fault of the cutter or the manufacturer it is by design.

Not a face mill / not center cutting
It was pretty hard to see that this would not be a general purpose bit from the seller’s pictures , but on examination ( see the picture I included ), it’s clear that these bits arnt center cutting ! That makes them much less useful for hobby or professional CNC users unless you are very careful to reduce your plunge rate, since these will have a hard time going straight down (vs side to side ). This is a bit of a critical flaw in these bits that makes them unsuitable for general purpose use sadly.

Straight cut bits
My only complaint is that they are not a true .125, mine are measuring at a even .12. That extra little bit might not seem like much, but on some carvings it does make a difference. Besides that, these are my normal go to bit when roughing and doing a profile cut. Sharp and cuts nice and clean, very little if any clean up
