I've lived in Germany before and know this a a superior coffee. So taste wasn't a concern. We were specifically looking for a bean that wasn't oily. We had tried a few less expensive one that just gave my single cup grind/brewer trouble. I have a subscription for this coffee so I do>n't run out. My husband drinks black coffee and loves it

It’s not acidic which is great! Good for the stomach and teeth and palate!! It is rich and bold without having that bitter taste. So good! I enjoy it!

This coffee makes a decent pourover, but it lacks a distinctive flavor that would make it 5 star. Good value for the money though.

This is great coffee. I'll never understand why people like the taste of burned bean type coffee as opposed to "roasted" bean coffee such as this. Great packaging with a round screw on cap on the bag with a breathing port. Makes it quite easy to pour out the beans for grinding. This breakfast blend tastes awesome when ground and brewed fresh. Hints of chocolate with a low acid taste. I grind the beans with my vitamix blender, saving a few days supply in a small jar. I then brew with a screened filter on a Proctor-silex k-cup brewer. I love this coffee with half and half. Some day I will get the tschibo brewer to make it even better. Great quality from Germany.

Just had my first cup of Tchibo Roestmeister Dark Roast, and I have to say it’s been the best cup of coffee I had for years! Beats Peet’s, Starbucks and other US brands in my book. Amazing full bodied yet refined taste. Happy to be able to get this through Amazon now!

My mother likes breakfast roast coffee so I thought she would like this, but she said that she didn't care for it and found it pretty bitter. I passed it off to my sister since I'm not really a hot coffee drinker and she thought it was fine, but nothing great.
