Decent Lights
This pair of softbox lights are good for smaller spaces and home shoots. You can get bigger lights but if you are limited for space or travel around a lot, then these are very good, especially when combined with a decent camera flash too.The bonus feature is the variable light options and remote control, which not all of these kind of sets come with. For a good starter kit, this is a nice option.

Good basic lights
As an amateur hobbyist photographer, these are useful basic lights. The lights are nicely difused and you have control over the brightness and white temperature. The remote control is easy to use.The stands in particular are noticeably low budget in materials used and build quality. They do serve their purpose fine, but are not super sturdy or heavy duty and wouldn't be suitable for commercial use. Best for occasional use and domestic use.As a basic home studio solution on a budget, they're good value for money.

Could be better
At a glance, this kit looks to be quite comprehensive and of good quality. However, while assembling everything ready for use, it became noticeable that the quality was lacking. The supplied tripod is of quite poor quality. At maximum height, the sections all have a tendency to flex and lean over to one side, with the bottom section wobbling at the adjustment collar. The tripod legs refused to stay in the position I tightened them at while adjusting the height of the sections. Any downward pressure causes the tripod legs to flatten out, regardless of how tightly you adjust them.In contrast, the head assembly is actually quite good. The folding softbox is easy to assemble and lock into place. The diffuser, which attaches to the front of the box, does a reasonable job of diffusing the light, but you can still clearly see a big hot spot in the middle. As well as an inline on/off switch in the mains cable, you also get a remote control (no batteries provided). To be honest, there are many buttons on the remote that don’t seem to bear much relevance to the product. There were no instructions provided either, so it's all a bit hit-and-miss. Interestingly, the on and off buttons on the remote don’t seem to do anything at all.Despite all of the above, it does work and proves to be quite effective in challenging light conditions. Would I recommend it? For the price point at the time of this review, there are many others competing in this space with similar products. I would look around for something a little better.

Not Worth the Investment – Disappointing Quality and Functionality
I was really disappointed with this photography Lighting Kit. The lights don’t emit nearly as much brightness as expected, and the softboxes are smaller than they appear in the product photos, barely softening the light at all. The light stands feel flimsy and unsteady, and one of the remote controls didn’t even work right out of the box, which makes it hard to rely on this setup for any serious photography.
