I have a seagate st1000dm003 that worked fine for almost two years, then one day the bios quit recognizing it. will this kit fix that problem?

Download sea tools and run all the tests. Look up the info on how to use it. The fw-fxr kit worked for me. But I had a specific problem and hard drive from a specific series. For my situation I give it 20 stars. Do your research on your drive, then you decide. I would love to give you better advice but without knowing all the variables I just can't say yes.

Will it work with Windows 10

Thank you for your interet in FW-FXR . Officially FW-FXR doesn't support windows 10 but we are working on it. Several users though have reported that they managed to make it work on Windows 10 but at "windows 7 compatibility mode".
