Healthy homemade deli meat
Decided to order after I'd seen an Influencer making homemade lunch meat. I made my own chicken, which turned out great. This included several recipes. Very easy to use, clean up was a breeze. Stainless steel and thermometer to ensure meat was cooked to temp.

Refrigerate at least over night before cooking to enhance the flavor.
The press works good as advertised, however the lid does not lock down tight.

Amazing.
One day I learned that you can make your own lunch meat. I've made my own pastrami and roast beef before, but nothing like a pressed lunch meat. So I did a bunch of research, and this one seemed to be pretty good. It was awesome. There's a few things that I wish were better: it doesn't come with enough bags. And I'm not seeing anywhere where I can buy more of them. If anybody knows, point me in that direction. Also the recipes are okay, but the next time I make them, I'll make a full 3 lb (That's what the container can hold, the recipes call for two pounds) And I would add some type of fat. We ended up using lean ground beef to make the salami, it's a little dry. And the chicken was dry too. Other than that, I am so impressed with how well it turned out. Now I can make my own lunch meat without worrying about how much sodium we're consuming, I get to decide. I would recommend however having a meat slicer, or something that allows you to slice the meat really thin. I didn't think the thicker slices were as good. That might just be because it didn't have a lot of fat in it, they crumbled more than they folded.

junk thermometer
Deli meat press works great, thermometer is junk, right out of the box pegged at 220 degrees and inoperative.

Sandwich meat
A little smaller than I expected but it works. The temp gauge would jump up when inserted when water had just got to temp. I cooked ground beef 2 1/2 hrs with the water around 190 to 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Meat was well done and sliced well to make sandwiches.

This item is one of the best purchases I've ever made in terms of kitchen gadgets or whatever. We've made over 300 slices of lunch meat from the 4 meat logs that the ham maker produces that have been made so far. Two are from the recipe cards that come with the same Maker and 2 were just honey garlic sausage meat. This product has already laid for itself and in the future I will be looking for another unit to produce more variety with faster turnaround. Just make sure you use the 2 tsp of gelatin if it says optional, because if you don't use the gelatin it doesn't hold together nearly as well.
