I am old enough to remember the Epilady from the 1980s. It was awful. This is not that! I bought it because it’s Braun, and their quality is usually good. I bought it specifically for all the extra hair that we ladies get over the age of 50. And it’s working great! I recommend exfoliating before you use it, and also experiment with which angles it’s going to work best on for which hairs. The light feature is very helpful. I use it probably every 3-5 days because I’m still trying to weed out the hair, and it’s awesome to have smooth skin again instead of always feeling stubbly. I’ve used it on face, chin, neck, and knees. It’s more painful in some areas than others, but it just hurts for a second and is worth it. I know some have recommended chilling the area with ice first, and I can see how that would help, but I haven’t felt like I needed to try it yet.

So I've been battling hair on the face for number of years. I did 100hrs electrolysis and it still wasn't enough. I had my face waxed earlier this year. I hated having to wait for it to get long enough... Id advise caution if you do what I did. No matter what would recommend wax face 1 time before doing this... Had my doc prescribe me lidocaine 5% it didn't do a whole lot but it was enough. I got all the hair, this shaver did so damn good I'm glad I didn't go for the 7. The size is almost perfect a bit too big around lip area to an extent. I'm contemplating trying it on my legs and arms Maybe I'll get the guts to eventually. Until then though very satisfied with this epilator it is a God send I was almost crying happy...

Epilator works reasonably well. It did miss a few spots on my first attempt but this may be due to thicker hair (I’m a guy). I am hoping this becomes less of an issue with future uses. The pain, however, is simply indescribable. When I used the epilator on my calves, it was as if Chernobyl was happening on my calves. It leaves your skin covered in red dots, but these mostly clear up within a day. All in all decent product, but it hurts so much I just can’t give it 5 stars.

Works exactly as described. So fast, it hardly stings. My secret must do to stop bumps from ingrown hairs is to exfoliate as often as possible. Dry brushes are good and effective for baby skin. Just saying. It’s a great tool and so easy to use.

Ok, so I get waxes in sensitive areas, but I was looking for something for my face. I hate waxing, shaving doesn't last long enough and the hair removal creams suck and burn my face. I got this after reading so many reviews and google searches for something with wax results I can do at home. First time I used it was a couple of days after shaving since it was recommended to have the hair low. It snatched all the hair off my face. It stings, yes. But if you wax, I think you should be able to handle it. My face hasn't been this smooth since before I started growing hair on my face. Once the hair is off, going over that spot will not sting because the hair is gone. I am waiting to see how long it takes to grow back and using a hair inhibitor oil to prevent it from growing back. So far, I love it. Exfoliate, trim first if the hair is not already low, and you should be alright.

First off - I'm a man, I've been looking for years for a good, effective method of hair removal that doesn't destroy my bank account. This is unfortunately not that method. The day I received it I charged it up, and made a first pass over my arms. The results were fantastic. There was some irritation, but nothing beyond the norm for a product like this. I gently exfoliated as suggested, and my arms were smooth and hairless the next day. My second pass came a little over a week later, and the results could not have been more different or disappointing. I did everything exactly as I had done the time before, but this time my arm hairs weren't pulled out, they were cut off at the surface, leaving the follicle under my skin. The result was nearly every hair follicle on both my arms becoming ingrown, leaving them covered in itchy, painful, absolutely awful red bumps. This is now the result of every use of this epilator. No matter how often or how well I clean it, whether I do/don't exfoliate, or if I exfoliate before/after, nothing changes the outcome. I really wanted to like this product, especially after how well the first pass went, but I can't continue to use or recommend an epilator that leaves your skin in such a damaged state.

This works, but it takes a really long time and does not get all the hairs. In addition, it hurts and it leaves legs with red dots all over. It is also very expensive for the quality.

I got this to hopefully make it easier to keep legs from being hairy. I was worried that it would really hurt but it just stings a little so that .made it easier to use. I like that i dont have to use it everyday. Instead it gets used when I feel the hairs regrow. I also like that i can just use it when I feel a hair coming in. I will get another one if this one dies.

It's agreat shaver, it's missing the Australian plug.
