HeadphoneMate Replacement Earpad Cushions for Parrot Zik (Zik1, Zik First Generation) Headphones

The instructions are super clear, and I found it hard to install the right earpad cushion, because of how weak the cables are. I actually broke the microphone cable while installing the pad, but that's not the pad's fault, it's mine. I was careful and followed the instructions but I went a bit too fast and being clumsy, I tore the cables away. And I don't care that much because I very rarely used my parrot zik's microphone in the first place. The other cables are a bit sturdier, so I managed to keep them intact in the process. The left earpad cushion is very easy to replace.

The ear cushion replacement wasn't easy, but Ron made that clear before I bought them! However, the included video really helped make sure I was doing it correctly. The main problem is the little cables for the autoplay/pause and microphone, which are really fragile. Still, there is nothing that anyone could have done about this: it is a problem with Zik design. The ear cushions themselves are superb, and look brand new, and the sensors still work!

These pads fit my Zik 1.0 perfectly. The side with the sensors is fussy to put together, but that's in the design it's self. Just follow the very concise and clean directions, and you shouldn't have too much trouble. There's even a YouTube video, that makes it very easy to do. I highly recommend these for breaking new life into your expensive headphones.

Feels great but they are a little bit thinner than the original cushion pads, when I Opened my package I notice that one of the pads came perfectly but the other one looks like used. Not worth the 30 bucks from my point of view. Not sure if they are made of leather. Update: When I installed the right side, there is no opening for place and connect the sensors, there are very difficult to install and I needed to open a space to install properly the sensor, after this, that opening is being bigger as time passes. After months of usage cushions are not comfortable as the original, but I hope they develop in the future some resistant opening as the original to let install the sensors without damaging the cushion. These cushions comply their function.

This is just a review of the installation. The YouTube video was helpful in showing the steps. The side with no sensors is very straight forward to replace. The sensor side is more difficult. The first difficulty once the sensors are pulled out from the old pad is that you have to fold put the foam to reach the pockets. I found this stained and bent the plastic lining for the foam and weakened it. The pockets on the replacement pad are tight so you need something to stretch them out. I used the end of tweezers. Then putting the sensors back in was tough Bc you need tweezers to pull up the pockets to cover the sensors Bc the pockets are tight. Thr rest was pretty easy and straight forward.

I dislike and will return the product because they are not made for the Parrot zig first generation, the pads fit on it but it doesn't have the connector for the sensor when you are using, witch makes useless for the Parrot! \ They should advertise this so at least you would know that if you want this feature it will not work!

Decided to repair over replace my Parrot Zik 1 headphones due to the ear covers were torn. Thankfully I found these replacements and was able to replace them myself. Seller "Ron's Electronics Sales" made it easy by providing the correct link for DIY people like myself. Item works as advertised.
