I’ve been using these referee headsets for a few years now. They are inexpensive compared to systems marketed to equestrians (i.e. CeeCoach) and IME opinion more reliable and easier to use. Battery lasts a long time and they are good over a much greater distance than a dressage court (I often lesson in a grass driving arena that’s four times the size of a dressage arena and coverage is great even when I’m at the far corner from my coach). They come with an armband but you can also get a belt clip for them or just stick them in a vest/jacket pocket. The headsets are wired and since I don’t love having the sound shoved in my ear I use a small binder clip to hold the ear speaker to my helmet harness. I can hear well and it’s easy to remove after warmup at shows. Very happy with the system and the price. There is a short learning curve about pairing but once paired they just work and work well. 9/25 edited to add: these headsets are still going strong. The weak link is the ear pieces don’t last as long. They are cheap to replace and I keep a backup on hand. I think I’m getting roughly 8 months out of the earpieces. Still a five-star review for the headsets because the are easier for me than more expensive things I’ve tried.

works great. sound is amazing. Only problem is when officiating, hard to hear out of the ear that the item is in.

I would have liked to know what the b,c,d,e buttons are for. And it has a phone button, for what. No user manual came with it, and got no info online. But I am enjoying talking to my hard of hearing partner, while we are in different rooms and it works up to almost 300 feet.

Cheaply made, but one expects the manufacturer to warrant their product, and back it up with good customer service. Customer service is totally lacking. I purchase these units. They arrived fairly quickly, and worked OK for a time. There is / was a manufacturing defect in one of the units - the headpiece plug (where it plugs into the radio) would not seat properly, so the unit didn't work. I reported this to Maxquall "months" ago, and have not received a replacement unit. So, I've had to use a rubber-band to keep the plug fully inserted into the radio.

Works great for high-level NCAA volleyball officiating. It's tricky to figure out how to pair and sync these with the instructions but watching a video online helped immensely. They seem to last a long time. The cord is long enough and I'm 6'5". I would also recommend buying a belt clip and the in-ear attachment because these ear pieces do not stay on your ears.
