Brooks Women's Ghost 15 Neutral Running Shoe

I bought these for a trip to Montreal. I usually walk about 30k steps per day so I brought my Saucony just in case. I arrived Saturday and it is now Tuesday and my Saucony are STILL in the suitcase. I have plantar fasciitis, a big ugly bunion on my left foot and these shoes could not be more comfortable. After a whole day in airports and two days of intense walking and running in the city, with subway rides and going up and down the stairs, these shoes have been put through the ultimate test. And they passed with flying colors, beyond my very high expectations. They fit true to size with a traditional running sock. I have zero blisters in my feet. The material is just the right thickness, and there’s cushioning all around the back and sides of the shoes making them super comfortable. As if that weren’t enough, the cool Pride design makes them unique and noteworthy, I’ve already been stopped several times for compliments. RUN don’t walk, and BUY THEM!!!

I have recently learned that I have very flat feet and low arches, so I have been looking for shoes that will support me properly, yet remain comfortable to wear if I wear them all day. I have tried several brands, including the Hoka Bondi 8 and the Cloudgo. While both of those are very good shoes for some people's feet, they were not quite right for mine. I needed more width at the ball of the foot than in the Hoka Bondis and more cushioning under the ball in the Cloudgo shoes. Next I tried the Brooks Ghost 15 shoes and I love them! They are wide enough that I can move my toes in them (I have wide feet), they are snug in the back and keep my feet snugly secure. They are cushy even after wearing them for many hours in the day. Wearing them I can tell that my weight is evenly distributed, and they have good traction for smooth or slippery surfaces. I am not a runner, just a 78 year old lady who wants a good and comfortable walking shoe that I can wear all day with my feet feeling as comfortable at the end of the day as when I first put them on. I have found them in the Ghost 15s!

Brooks are great shoes! Love this style for every day wear or specifically in the gym. They're comfortable and support my arches. Great walking/running shoes. They're durable too! The white gets dirty easily but easy to wash.

Haha jk but they are super comfortable and I am able to run without my typical foot, ankle, shin and knee pain.I usually use these for walking. In my old shoes my lower back would start to hurt. I can go further in these before my lower back hurts.I'm tough of my shoes and these have held up amazing! They still look in newish shape. The inside still feels firm and not worn down.Oh oh oh! These shoes are the ONLY shoes I have ever had that didn't need a break in period! I had my friend get a pair and they have foot issues and metal in both knees and bad ankles. They said the sane thing! It took away their foot pain, they didn't need to break the shoes in and they take their shoes hiking and they have held up!

These are generally super comfy shoes right out of the box, but just as a note. This is the second pair of Brooks neutral ghosts that I am replacing due to them being worn out after 6-8 months. Granted, I am walking 5-8 miles several times a week throughout those months, on pretty poorly maintained streets and sidewalks in my city. And I’m newer to this level of exercise so I’m not sure how typical that is for a shoes durability under that mileage (about 500). To replace these tho I bought some Brooks ghost with extra support, i.e. a higher sole, and am hoping they may last a little longer.

I bought the black/spring crocus/sunburn model. Why "sunburn" I don't know! Those embellishments look like a stylized animal print to me - which I love.I tried 3 pair before ending up with size 12. My usual sneaker size is 11. I ordered that, but it felt small in the front. With luck, I saw there was an 11.5, but since there was also a 12 I thought I'd better get that one also to try.I tried the 12 as soon as that and the 11.5 arrived. I didn't even need to open the 11.5 box, since the 12s fit perfectly. This is important: I need lots of room for my toes (which have undergone surgery) but my heels are narrow. Guess what? These Ghosts fit like they were custom made for my feet. (BTW, ignore where Amazon tells you what size it thinks you need. Mine said 10.5 W. No way.)The black on these sneaks is not solid. It's a tiger stripe black -- which I love! But you only see this shadow print look up close.So if you like animal prints, these sneaks have two kinds: the tiger strip black of the entire shoe and the orange Tyger of the little embellishment. The spring crocus part, as you see, is just a thin line on the shoe. And it looks good.Yes, they are comfortable. Not as padded and bouncy as, say, Hokas. So, you might (if softer is your need) want to go with a different shoe for running. But these Ghosts are so pretty, you'll want to take them out strolling, although, of course, you can run in them.
