It is great! My grandson will love it. He has a contest going with his dad to see who can catch the most fish so this should settle it once and for all that he's the champion.

My 5 yr old daughter caught her first fish unassisted and I'm not sure who was more excited - her or me. I thought it was worthy of a trophy or at least an everlasting keepsake of the moment. We both browsed Amazon and landed on this inexpensive yet attractive piece. Its small, very lightweight, nothing overly fancy but brought the joy to her achievement. One thing that would have made it superb and worthy of a higher price is if there was a saltwater fish option vs all freshwater but this one came the closest to the coastal species we target. I plan on having an engraved, stick-on plate added with her name and date which may cost more than the trophy but all in all money well spent. 5 stars.

Little Billy loved the trophy. He thought it was a shark because we went to the aquarium 2 days before. He held the trophy high and the air and sang the “Baby Shark” song 5 times in a row. Little did he know it was the annual STFU Ice Fishing Derby and he caught the first and biggest fish. We presented the Trophy at the banquet dinner where we had stuffed shells, brisket, meatballs and sausages, and chicken wings. Treat your next winner to this great prize and you say “Oh Yeah” and “Hello Fresh” Loved it!

I bought these for our Cub Scout Fishing derby, I wanted to utilize vinyl instead of a plaque. When I was trying to stick the vinyl to the base with the transfer tape, I did not stick and the layer of enamel that the base has, peeled right off. So what I had to do in order to continue with the vinyl was cover the entire base with packing tape, then peel it off. Once I peeled off the tape from the base, the enamel layer came off with the tape, i was then able to continue personalizing them with the vinyl.
