Great hair towel, really helps fight frizz.

After decades of highlighting, my shoulder length hair was prone to frizziness after washing/drying. It’s a true catch-22 circumstance because the heat & styling time required to eliminate the frizz causes more damage so I was anxious to try something new.This wrap is literally smooth as silk & is easy to use. A tight twist is not needed to efficiently wick the water from your hair. Before it’s first use, do a practice run to see how to operate the band & secure the tail. I found tying an extra knot on the elastic end made it easier to find the band’s slide when it’s time to tuck & secure the towel end.It was surprising how quickly the water was wicked from my hair. The first time I used it I made the mistake of leaving it up for over half an hour & afterwards my hair was so dry I had to generously re-wet it before attempting to use a hair dryer & brush to style.Now I leave it up for five minutes & drying the roots requires very little time. After applying a heat protectant to the ends, it’s no time before my hair is completely dry & styled. [For reference, my hair is shoulder length & the simple style requires only basic styling products.]It’s unrealistic to expect a towel to reverse damage, so I visited my hairdresser for fresh color & a trim; I also retired my ten year old dryer & bought a new, electronically programmed Shark dryer so excess damaging heat should be eliminated.

Loved this towel for a while but despite hanging in on a long bar only folded over once and having it fully dry out shortly after each use, both of my towels started to smell after about a year and then I was able to see tiny black mold spots that will not wash off. I have had other towels for 15 years without having this issue and this occurred after only 1 year.
