I purchased this salt on the recommendation of biologist, biohacker, researcher, and anti-aging and longevity expert Gary Brecka. This salt is his top recommended sea salt to use for mineral support in your body. He believes it is the cleanest and healthiest sea salt and recommends you add it to your daily filtered water or simply take a pinch on your tongue in the am upon rising and throughout the day. I add it to my filtered water and find my water tastes better when I do this. It replaces the electrolytes that can be destroyed by city water treatment or your own filtering system.

I have an RO filter and have used Himalayan, Celtic, as well as another type of mineral salt (can't remember the name of the last one - but higher quality than others) to re-mineralize my drinking water and this is by far the best tasting! The others were very salty tasting. You have to use a lot of Hymalayn to get proper minerals. The mineral profile on the Baja Gold it excellent and the tase is mild - not overly salty at all!. I highly recommend this! A little pricier that the others, but if I use it for drinking (1 tsp per 4 gallon) and to sprinkle, the 5lb bag will last me for yrs!!
