Air bags
I got these to handle the weight for camping. My truck doesn't sag as much. They're easy to install. So far no issues. I wanted something that allow me to not have a still ride. You can't have a custom leaf spring that does what these air bags. Leaf have to have weight off you're wanting to have load but they are stiff if you remove the load. I recommend the air bags. I have a 2010 tundra with fox shocks. My friend has a 2016 tundra with the same air bags on stock shocks. He has no load so his truck rides stiff. My truck has a tool box and bed cover. I have a load plus the fox shocks so my ride isn't as stiff.

Working Great with Firestone "Red Label" RideRite Bags / 2017 Ram 3500
I installed these under my Firestone Ride Rite "Red Label" air bags on my 2017 Ram 3500 4WD SRW diesel truck. (Firestone kit #2705) I take my truck on trails & overlanding trips quite a bit and I immediately knew I needed these when I discovered they existed. The airbags get stretched and greatly restrict the rear axle's articulation - as well as increasing the risk of damaging the bags. Installation for my setup was quick and easy. I let the air pressure out of the bags, unbolted the U bolt holding the lower bracket to the axle. Then removed the one bolt holding the bottom of the air bag to that mounting plate. Compressed the airbags up out of the way. I then bolted the Daystar cradle to the mounting plate with supplied nut and bold & then that plate back to the axle with the u-bolt. Took about 20 minutes to install both cradles using only a 9/16" wrench and 9/16" socket wrench. The added cradle is thick and with the suggested 5lbs psi in the bag it lifts the rear of the truck up about 5/8" without a load. So I keep the bags deflated when not towing or hauling. Truck rides nice and getting my rear axle's articulation back while retaining the airbag system is the best of both worlds. So far very happy with these and will update after a year or so of use.

Simply Idea, Great Product
These were not widely advertised, came across their existance in the various forums.. Decided to buy a set to go with the Airbags i was installing. Primary reason was to accomidate full suspension drop when the truck was up on a Lift in my garage. With Airbags installed without these, the suspension would extend too far when raised off the ground and the bags could be damaged. Installation was easy, word of advice, take your time aligning the bags over these to ensure they hit the center of the cradle. Cradles come with single center hole for mounting, but the mounts from the airbag company, have an ajustable base mount that allows the cradle to be moved forward or aft about an inch and this makes a big diff in alignment. Have about 300 miles on truck now, and there are no issues to report. Very Glad I found these. Highly recommended.

for lifted trucks that tow off road
If you have a lifted truck that you still use as a truck and isn't a pavement princess, these are the only way to go. Easy to install and saves the bags.

Fit my 98 Tacoma
So far so good. These fit my 1998 Tacoma TRD. I was worried because Daystar says they "fit most full size trucks", and the early Tacomas are definitely not full size. But they fit my truck just fine. They seem sturdy. I used them with Firestone Ride Rite airbags. Firestone specifically warns against using these with their bags...but people have been doing it with good results so far. My only suggestion is to include a torque range for the bolt. I ended up tightening until I heard some cracking plastic...then backing off a bit. I didn't see any damage or cracks running along them, so I think they're fine. But it would be nice to have a ballpark torque number to shoot for, and not find out you over-torqued by hearing things crackle... One person mentions the hardware not fitting; that the bolt was too long and stuck up far enough that it would contact the airbag. Their truck is not the exact truck I have, but I think maybe they installed the bolt upside down. If you slide the bolt down in the cradle from the top, the head on the bolt goes into the recess there and is practically flush with the top surface of the inside of the cradle. If, however, you stick the bolt in through the bottom of the cradle up, the extra length of the bolt will stick up and contact the airbag. Just flip the darn bolt around and have the extra length sticking down towards the frame instead of up at the airbag...

I purchased a Firestone ride rite kit for my 2020 tundra and came across this cradle. I wanted an airbag setup that is not permanently attached to the axel same as the bump stop that it replaced. The airbag is only under stressed on heavy loads and can be deflated when not it use. It good quality and really easy to install.

Works perfectly to allow more axle articulation

They are exactly as described. What more can i say? Super easy install. Lets the axle droop as far as your suspension allows and picks up the bag when loaded down.

I had to do some modification on the underside to sit flush with the Air Lift 88295 LoadLifter 5000 kit I used this with.

These wear a great addition to my truck as I wheel it often but also do the occasional towing. Installing these gave me back my articulation when off road but still can air them up when it’s time to tow! Great product. I use them with my firestone air bags and fit perfect. Toyota Tundra 2010
