Women's Wide Leg Pants with Side Slits - UPF 50+ Sun Protection - Petra

Took a chance on these pants when they were on sale. They are super lightweight, with an almost silky feel. I’m petite height and the length is good when the bottoms are tied up. I haven’t worn in the heat yet, but I’m pretty sure they’ll be perfect. With the UPF rating, no sunscreen is needed. They are cute and comfortable. I sized up to a medium. Normally a 4 or a 6 Petite, for reference.

These pants are very comfortable - light & loose. If you're 5'6"ish or under, they may be too long for you. I've worn these in weather that is F90-100+, in both dry heat and muggy, and kept as cool as you can in that sort of weather. I don't think I've been in direct sun more than an hour or two in these pants, but I didn't get a hint of even tan, definitely no burn. It is shocking, in fabric so thin. When temps dropped to around 50F, I've worn leggings underneath and it kept me surprisingly warm, and static-free. I wash them on delicate and line-dry. They dry very quickly. It may seem that it's a lot to pay for such a thin fabric, but it seems pretty resilient, but there's nothing like them. Most light, comfortable, sun-blocking pants and skirts don't breathe very well. Most other fabrics are light and flowy, but you still build up heat. Not these pants. I've been looking for truly comfortable, light, sun-blocking, and attractive pants or skirts for literal YEARS. These are the first that fit the bill. I've bought them in multiple colors.

I bought these for a summer trip to Italy with 100+ degree weather. The fabric is as advertised feels airy and soft. A lot of the other UPF 50 clothing I tried including Coolibar's own ZnO(TM) and REI definitely didn't feel airy and weren't as soft. The waist is very adjustable with good-quality elastic and a nice drawstring. The main sizing seems to be in the pant width. I'm 5'7" and 135 lb. Amazon recommended a size medium but the size medium pant width ballooned and it looked I was wearing clown pants. If I had bigger thighs, I'd have kept the medium. I then bought a size small. Even in size small, the pant width is very wide like flood jeans but works with the style of the pants. The white fabric is semi-sheer so I wear it with white underwear. IMO not a big deal. I also bought two other patterns directly from Coolibar that had sold out on Amazon. The patterns disguise underwear better but it's still something I wear with white underwear.

These look really nice and you wouldn't know they were UV protective just looking at them.

The fabric is 100% polyester but it’s really see through and feels so cheap. I have multiple coolibar items and they’re all well made and feel comfortable. Those pants are just not. And especially not for $89!! Going back.

These are very cute and love the sun protection. I live in Florida so it’s necessary. My only issue is the sizing. These are so baggy. The waist and length is good but over all is just kind of sloppy.
