My dog is a nervous wreck during new years. This mellowed him out all evening, he was still shaky but, was definitely calmer than other years

I got these hoping they would work for my St. Bernard during more intense grooming sessions. I just adopted this big boy and he was really matted. I thought about shaving him down but it’s just too cold and I didn’t want to damage his coat so we did a lot of dematting and I got him FULLY brushed. Every knot is gone!! These worked BEAUTIFULLY! And surprisingly, he ate them like treats!!

I have to give double the amount they seem pretty weak for my dog

These really work well with my dog he’s a doodle and very hyper. I haven’t used them very often but around a lot of people I’ll give him one or two and it works good. He doesn’t jump. It calms him down and that’s perfect.

These do not work at calming down my 2 year old Cockapoo at all. She has crate anxiety and when I check on her after the chews there is never any difference. She still barks and whines with so much angst. I give it 3 stars because she still eats them as a treat when she does have to go in the crate.

Great for gatherings with big groups. Holiday parties can be tough on the pups but these really calm my guy out. It has a lot of active ingredients and they all seem to work together to help my dog not get stressed.

My dogs just love these! My four pups know the routine. In the evening before we retreat to the bedroom for tv and relaxation I get the bag out and each dog receives two or one and half (depending on size) of the supplement. It really helps my little chi's who are young and active to calm down. Sometimes I also give them small piece of turkey slices so they get the tryptophan as well because they can get insanely crazy active. My two older dogs just love the taste and I believe this helps them self better. My oldest dog is 13 and takes Trazondone tablets for anxiaty but it doesn't always kick in fast enough to get her to stop bugging me for more treats (she's a healthy beagle/pittie and 77lbs). The VetIQ calming treats really seem to help bring on the calmness they (and myself ) have calm and quiet. I'd like to mention that I have been using these for several years with my 14 year old lab chow who had some dog dementia. It was a huge help to me because he could cause so many disruptions at night because he wasn't able to sleep through the night. Even with his pain medications for his hip the calming support was essential. Eventually I had to make that difficult decision to help him cross the rainbow. But for all my pets I feel that these support supplements have helped bring a natural calmness that is beneficial for them to sleep more peacefully.

I bought these a few years ago figuring, ‘what do I have to lose?’ Our golden is terrified of thunderstorms, and fireworks. She’s also not doing very well with heavy rain and things like that. She was on Celeo gel, which is very expensive and is no good after Six or eight weeks. We threw away more than we were using and it wasn’t worth it. I find that if I give her one of these chews before the thunder really starts or if she hears it before me, I give her one right away. It takes about 10 minutes to have an effect on her, but she does settle quickly and will stop trying to climb in our lap. She usually just lies down ant my feet and will pant a little, but everything seems fine otherwise. We give her two if she really needs it and the storms are going to last a long time. That tends to make her more sleepy. They do have an odor, it’s kind of an herby scent, but I give her the chew and wash my hands immediately after. We also keep the bag tightly sealed and then put it into a gallon Ziploc bag and seal that as well. They stay fresh for quite a while and have not caused any bad effects on our pup. The doctor did say we could give her a medication like trazodone, but it takes more than an hour before it has an effect and many people just give it to their dog either on a regular basis or if there’s even a chance of storms. I don’t want to do that to my dog. These chews work perfectly for us and for our Sophie!
