Dear Annelies, This is a 5 star product in every sense of the word. The umbrellas is built strong, yet aesthetic and will serve my purposes for a very long time. With the letter you sent along with the package you said that if I ever have a problem with the umbrella drop you a note on your customer service support line and you’ll send me another one!!!! I’m not writing you on your support line because there is anything wrong with my umbrella. I’m writing to say thank you!!!! I’m in Los Angeles where it truthfully only rains a few times a year, if that. We are a desert. However, over the last few days we’ve had a rain storm, pretty significant for this town. And my umbrella quit functioning. Of course I went to Amazon, I looked around and I found your Tumella and was instantly impressed by the video of the wind tunnel and the umbrella’s strength. Again, not that I need a heavy duty umbrella, it only rains a little in Los Angeles. But I was impressed with how far you went in trying to make a very good product. Something better, more durable, more reliable than the mass market. You wanted to be better than the rest for the sake of the customer!!! This stuck with me. So I purchased it. And by the time it arrived we were still experiencing rain and I got to use my Tumella to my sheer delight. It works perfectly. But all of the above is the lesser reason of why I am writing to you. The envelope you included with the umbrella was so fantastically cute and adorable, I was instantly compelled to write to you. The letter, the font used, the picture of the family, your story of how and why you made this product, was so over the top cute I was thrilled at your extreme desire to make your customer happy. And the fact you were willing to send me a new one if this one somehow stopped performing…just melted me!!!!! This is so very unique in the age of fast, disposable, low quality merchandise. Such a breath of fresh air from an a commercial or industrial viewpoint. I have no idea who you are and I am, of course a total stranger to you. But you, your story, your product, your ability to make a superior product over the rest of the market, and your letter including your beautiful photo of your 5 kids!!! (Are those really all yours???) touched my very heart in a way that has not been done in a long time. Especially by a mass marketed product. Thank you for your product. Thank you for your human touch. Thank you for being a cut above the rest. You are obviously very special. If you ever happen to travel to Los Angeles with your family, please call me so I can shake you hand. I hope you sell tons of your umbrellas. I will recommend you to everyone I see. These are the best umbrellas! Up to the task in strong winds and sideways rain. While traveling we saw many umbrellas retired to trash cans after being turned inside out. Not a Tumella! These umbrellas take it in stride and keep on going. They are well made and robust yet light enough to travel and compact even for a large pocket. We like that there are so many designs to choose from. We will never buy another brand of umbrella. They dry out nicely and are a robust design. They also provide ample shade. Great price for a 5 star product that is cut above any competitor.

Strong, Compact, and Well Made This umbrella is excellent. It’s very sturdy for how compact and lightweight it is, and it feels well made with a comfortable grip. It opens and closes easily, fits perfectly in my car or backpack, and handles windy, rainy weather much better than other travel umbrellas I’ve owned. Great quality and very reliable.

Am I closing it wrong? Why is it so hard to close. This is a gift for my mom. I hope she doesn't have a hard time closing it like I did. Other than that, it seems super durable and strong. It's built great with integrity. My mom did want a small compact umbrella, not sure if this is small enough. But it doesn't open wide and can cover two people, so I guess you get more coverage with this being a mid-sized umbrella. It comes with a cover to hold it in place. The velcro is easy to wrap around and stick. It's portable enough, but not small as in length (short).

I ordered 2 Tumella umbrellas back in March for my kids and they have exceeded my expectations! The designs are vibrant and beautiful. There are so many prints to choose from! The umbrella is very durable. It’s very portable and compact. It’s super smooth to open and close. The coverage is great for both children and adults. On top of all this, their customer service is top tier. Recently one of the umbrellas tips broke and the company sent me a replacement. The customer service representative was very attentive to the situation and very quick to respond. I reached out about my umbrella on a Tuesday and received my new replacement that Saturday (only 4 days later!!! Wow!) excellent excellent customer service. The representative followed up with each step (let me know it had shipped and reached out when it was delivered to make sure I was satisfied with the new umbrella. I will be ordering another for myself soon. If you get one expect to receive a ton on compliments on the beautiful design and be assured that you are spending your money on a quality umbrella with customer service that stands behind their product.

Love the automatic open AND CLOSE! The vent works great and enhances comfort, usefulness. The grey material used is just beautiful! I use my umbrella for sun and rain, and this color will be most versatile. Feels very sturdy in every way. Not the most compact umbrella you can find, but absolutely the most compact STURDY umbrella you will find. It does fit in my compact crossover bag, while hanging slightly out of the top (still a hands-free carry and it works for me). Gifted several this year for Christmas, including some of their scenic interior versions. Universally-appreciated by all! Kudos to this family for creating such a great product!! They are truly best of the best!

This product is very good and I will recommend it.

I love the sturdiness of these umbrellas. I bought two early Jan 2025. Unfortunately after a few months, one of them stopped working and I was unable to close the shaft (the other one is still in mint condition), so after reaching the Tumella team and providing evidence of the issue, they were happy to send me a free replacement. They were speedy in their reply and followed up all the way through until they knew I was happy with my replacement which I received within days. Overall I am a very happy customer and would definetely recommend buying!

The umbrella looks nice, feels well built, and easy to use. Have used in sunny, windy, and rainy conditions - does a good job. A tiny amount of water gets through the wind vents under extremely heavy rain, but this can be mitigated by holding the umbrella at a steady angle. So far it's a reasonable compromise considering how well it's holding up during heavy rain and wind.

The umbrella is of a high quality, extremely well made and sturdy with a choice of unique designs. It is a bit bigger and heavier than your average umbrella, but is still compact enough to easily carry in a rucksack/bag. So far has been tested in heavy rain and windy conditions and it hasn’t let me down yet, would recommend

A great little brolly, which can stand up to the Edinburgh winds, which come from any direction. It is also stylish and fun and when its a horrible day you can just imagine yourself lying on the beach in the picture. There customer service is great as well, if you ever need to contact them.
