Perfect Driftwood for Our Clown Pleco
We recently purchased a clown plecostomus and didn’t realize they need driftwood as part of their diet to stay healthy. These pieces turned out to be just perfect! Our tank is only 5 gallons, and the size fits beautifully without overwhelming the space. I was worried about the water turning brown, but so far, there’s been no discoloration at all. The wood looks natural and blends nicely with the rest of the decor. I anchored the pieces into the gravel to prevent them from floating, and they’ve stayed put perfectly. I haven’t seen our pleco nibbling on them yet, but I’m excited to see him start exploring soon. Great quality and an excellent addition to a small aquarium setup!

Good variety
These were great, a lot of nice pieces that I can work with to create a nice shape in the the aquarium. They were clean and solid, and had a good variety. No color stains in the water.

Nice! (Edit: 7”-11” option wasn’t as good.)
EDIT: The Driftwood root mix 7”-11” was disappointing. Came in a bag that was too short to even hold an 11” stick. All of them were around the same length; roughly 7”. I was hoping for a mix of sizes. I can always use more driftwood, but now I have to order something else to get the longer ones I was hoping to get in this mix. (Original Review - for a root mix in sizes ranging from about 12”-14”.) Good amount of sticks for the price. Good range of sizes for smaller animals. I use these for heavy-webbing terrestrial, semi-arboreal (“terrestrial PLUS”), and arboreal tarantula slings and smaller species. They don’t start decomposing nearly as fast as twigs from the woods outside. They resist water saturation better and therefore don’t grow fungus as easily or quickly. (They WILL start growing green fuzz if they get too saturated but are not fully submerged! It’s wood. Wood naturally starts to decompose eventually after it’s been cut away from its roots and dies. Letting things dry out a bit will solve the problem. Maybe just don’t use these with rainforest frogs and other species that need really soggy conditions, unless you’re okay with the natural breakdown process? 😄🤷🏻) The wood is also very tough and dense, so may require a saw or sharp pruning shears to cut more cleanly. I’d also recommend sanding off any sharp bits along the twigs (or ends) if they’re being used for animal enclosures, especially delicate critters like fish, spiders, and soft-skinned reptiles. If it feels sharp to you (try your inner wrist if your fingers are tough from work), then it could seriously injure them. My kiddos love using these as anchor points for their webs, and for climbing and basking on. Plus, these add some nice dimension and interest to the overall enclosure setup.

Great decor!
Ton of variety in pieces! Each piece was very uniquely shaped and it was a good sized bundle to do a fair bit of aquascaping. I used about 3/4 of the package to scape a new 20g tall so it was perfect for my needs. If I had a longer tank or wanted more intense wood decor I might do two packs. The pieces did sink well when whole but the ones I cut in half did float a little.

Money well spent
These arrived well packaged and not a single broken in the bunch. No two are alike and some are longer, shorter, thicker, etc. I boiled them for a couple of hours and then let them sit for a day before adding to my shrimp tank. They look absolutely awesome, I'm very happy with them. I also have several left over for my 60-gallon tank. Good value for the money.

Good quality
Nice long pieces about as thick as or a little thicker than a pencil. They gave me a good assortment.

Completely not as described
Boooooo! The description said 10" to 15" piece of driftwood. What they sent was five little scraps, the longest was barely 5". And you should also know, this stuff is super dry. It would need to be weighted to sink in your fish tank.
