All three of my cats live it! I've had no issues though it's new so we'll see. So far, it's perfect. It's also extremely quiet which is a huge plus. I wish the water indicator line was more visible but still, five stars. Edit: this water dish is a lifesaver. My cats are elderly or they have illnesses. They need as much water as possible, running water is my sickest cats favorite thing ever, I'm pretty sure it's helping her more than I realized. As for other reviews, this stainless dish is smooth, not rigid nor sharp. Cleans easily and the filters are easy to find.

One cat immediately took to the fountain. The second took about six weeks to warm up to it. They both continued to cry for me to turn on the bathroom faucet, which they prefer. FInally, they gave it but that took about a month. I like the stainless steel. I can wash it with soap and KNOW I have removed the soapy residue which does not always occur with plastic. I find it to be sturdy and holds a good amount of water in reserve for two cats. I do boil the water before placing it in the fountain to remove chlorine. Letting it sit for a day helps remove ammonia. I am sure recycling the fountain water helps purify it as well. So far, I like it and it has kept my cats off my bathroom counter and out of the sink!

My cat is older and has a lot of health issues. This helps keep her water clean and out of the dogs reach. It must be plugged in at all times and you have to take it apart to clean it, but its not as difficult as other fountains. It will keep water cool because its metal so thats nice. My only complaint would be how difficult it is to find the filters..... they get dirty super fast and its hard to find the correct size for this fountain.

Horrible design! Would not recommend to anyone. The “stainless steel” is a joke and the sharp edges strips the pump wire every time you feed it through the hole after cleaning. There is a tiny half gasket that you have to hold in place around the hole while trying to screw the faucet pieces in place. Most of the time it ends up slipping back into the base. The pump is weak and has so many crevices that you can’t properly clean it. Why on earth was it designed with a rubber tube to suspend the pump from the base. That’s just a slim producer. These filters are seriously ridiculous. The pump and filter will turn pink in a week, so don’t think about trying to make the filter last longer than a week. The pump attachment does fit in the base straight so you have to insert it cockeyed but then your water level view area is on the side. Like I said the entire thing is horribly designed. I’m going to finish the filters I have and then throw this fountain in the trash where it belongs.

This has been a great addition to our lives, and our cats lives! My cat who normally doesn't tend to drink that much water LOVES to drink from this fountain, and so do the other two cats and our dog! Your pet's kidneys need lots of fresh water. Don't let it sneak up on you as they get older. Always encourage them to drink water by having it nearby for them in every room. Every week we clean the container, and after we put it down, there is an immediate queue of animals to be first to drink from it. They love drinking from this fountain, so I am absolutely please with it so far. I would highly recommend you get a lot of replacement filters (white sponge and charcoal filter). It recommends changing them at least once every two weeks, but if you see a lot of sediment on them (especially the white sponge), I would recommend changing them every week. It just depends on your water situation. We get the water first from the filtered water that comes from the refrigerator's water dispenser. Then, it is filtered twice by the water fountain, and we tend to see a red/orange accumulation on the white sponge, so we change that filter every week just to be safe.

I overall love the product the only thing is it stopped working after only 4-5 months of having it and nothing I do gets it to work

Large enough so there whiskers don't touch any parts, big enough so if you go on short trip it won't run out of water and burn up the motor, completely silent motor, they are drinking more because they like the running water.

Works great. Kittys are all finally used to it.
