Loud birdcage toy for tots/seniors. My mil w/ dementia loves them! And she can hear them, too!
I got this for my mother-in-law with dementia who lives with us because she loves birds. And it's winter. And I was hoping she'd enjoy having these birds talk back to her, if she could figure that out. Instead, she got the gift yesterday for Christmas but was so excited about them that she had to call my son over to show them to him. I've tried to show her that she should keep it on the middle "on" switch, not all the way over, because the battery I put in there was really just to test to make sure it works (it does) and it makes the sound distorted on the speech module, but works great for when you want the birds just to sing. It also plays "happy birthday" after they do their birdsong, so keep that in mind. I figured she wouldn't care and she didn't, but it was a bit awkward for the rest of the Xmas party guests. Oops. I think kids would love it too, esp. the talking back feature, but with weak batteries it gets kind of distorted, which is a bit freaky. It comes in a snug cardboard box which is easy to wrap, and if you put the batteries in there (doesn't come with) they can play with it immediately. There is a hook on top if you want to hang it, but she had a hard time figuring it out, and I had taken it off in order to fit it into the snug box (after inserting the batteries) so it would fit well. Cute, but definitely not high end like some birds in a cage I've seen. This is more of a play thing than a showpiece for your curio cabinet. Cute colors. Birds move, which might add to the magic if you're dealing with small kids. But warning - it is shrill. And no volume controller. :(

Caregiving For Loved One with Dementia
I recently tried the Bakalizoo Mini Birdcage Toy with Repeat and Chirping and found it incredibly helpful for my family member with dementia. While it's intended as a toy, I've repurposed it to provide comfort and entertainment for my loved one. She loves hearing herself repeated by the bird in the cage, which has become her joy source. When she's frustrated, the bird's comforting words seem more soothing than mine. The familiar songs and chirping are not upsetting to her, and the fact that the toy is quite loud is a benefit, as she is slightly hard of hearing. Additionally, I appreciate the small and colorful design, which makes it easy to keep track of and move around, especially during sundowning periods.

Not worth the drawbacks
I recently purchased the Mini Birdcage Toddler Toy for my little one, and it has been a mixed experience. The chirping and fluttering sounds are delightful, and my toddler loves to interact with the talking birds that repeat what you say. However, the toy feels a bit flimsy, and I worry about its durability. While it provides entertainment, I wish it had more features to keep my child engaged longer. Overall, it’s a fun toy, but not without its drawbacks. ★★★☆☆

Very loud toy
The media could not be loaded. This Bakalizoo Mini Birdcage Toddler Toys is interesting. My toddler finds it amusing as he's fascinated with birds right now. However this toy is loud! It was hitting 90 decibels in some of the bird tweets while most were in the 80s. What that means is 90 decibles is machinery of 3 feet away and 80 decibels is an alarm clock. No child should be near a constant blaring alarm clock let alone machinery. We put duct tape on the bottom speakers to drastically reduce the sound. But its only a matter of time before my child peels it off.The one setting is bird tweets with one phrase (hello, I love you) and three songs: Happy birthday song, Twinkle twinkle, and something I've never heard before... I wish there was a better song selection. Happy birthday should be reserved for a couple times a year, not every three songs from this toy. The other setting is a mimick setting, which is amusing at best. While talking, tweeting, or singing, its constantly flashing lights which is a bit irritating and unnecessary. Luckily its just one color and not multiple. So this toy is less then desirable, it has potential but also a lot of flaws.

Super Cute but Super Loud!
I love this cute plastic birdcage with cute plastic birds that chirp and talk and sing. They repeat what you say in their cute little bird voices, they say “Hello I Love You” or “Hello How Are You,” and they cycle through three different songs in between chirps. The first is “Happy Birthday,” the second is “Twinkle Twinkle,” and the third I don’t recognize but it sounds like a cute K-pop song. In my opinion the birthday song doesn’t really make sense if it’s nobody’s birthday, but it would be great if you’re giving it as a birthday present. This birdcage toy comes in a colorful box so it would be a unique gift.Every time the birds talk, they noisily flap their plastic wings which makes a clicking sound. Lights flash too. The 4” wide x 6” high plastic cage seems a bit delicate so use with supervision. The birds are so loud though, that I had to hang it up high on the other side of the room. Don’t even think about hanging it near a crib or let little children get too close, as it will hurt their delicate ears! There is an on/off switch that you can also switch to repeat mode, but there’s no volume control. If you secretly turn it on repeat and an unsuspecting person enters the room, the birds will talk to them and it will be quite a surprise.

Better than the talking Cactus?
Everyone loves the talking Cactus toys...well, move over cacti because the birds are here! A few fun features: the base of the cage lights up to signify that it is listening and recording. It repeats back what you say, or any sound that it picks up, and repeats it back in a chipmunk type voice. While repeating, the birds move their beaks and dance around. It's really cute and funny!
