Fun doll from the movie. Great Christmas gift for children and tgeens who enjoyed the movie.

Overall, this doll is similar to the other Princess Red Barbie’s we have (this is the 3rd). She’s decent quality, her hair is great, doesn’t shed everywhere and doesn’t tangle easily. I put off buying this for months due to the negative reviews about the poor quality but I don’t think that’s true. Comparing this doll to the many others we have, I’d say it’s just as good as other Barbie’s, better than some! The quality of Barbie dolls overall is getting worse, you can tell the materials are cheaper. But this one in particular is good, quality is very similar to the singing Red doll we’ve had for a while who also doesn’t bend at the arms or knees. We also bought the Chloe doll (same as this one but blue features) and shes really cute too! The only negative would be the shorts/pants, not really as nice or stylish as the other red dolls we have. But the slime and little bath bomb with the key inside were fun! SLIME Tip: don’t add all the water at once. We used less water than the full cup given this time and it’s easier to play with. We used all the water with Chloe’s slime and it ended up like a rubber ball.

My six year old daughter loved this! It was perfect for Descendant lovers. Only tip is to make sure to put the right amount of water for the slime otherwise it doesn’t turn out.

We ordered this for a Rise of Red birthday party for a 5 year old. It comes in a very nice "spellbook" case. Inside is a doll and several potions to mix. I was told the birthday girl liked slime, so this was the absolutely PERFECT gift! And compared to the price of the doll alone, this was an incredible bargain!

Our Grand-daughter loved this item. We purchased for Christmas last year. She totally enjoyed using & playing with it.

Opening it up to find compartments, tools, and the hidden doll makes it feel like a magical storybook come to life. The pieces are fairly sturdy, and the whole layout encourages kids to take their time and fully explore each step of the “rituals.” It’s well-themed and feels special right out of the box. Where It Falls Short While the set is undeniably fun, it does come with a few limitations: Some of the magic effects—especially the color-change parts—are not as dramatic as advertised. They work, but they're subtle. The potion-style recipes are exciting the first few times, but they don’t offer endless replay. After the initial surprises are gone, it becomes more of a standard playset with a doll and accessories. The cauldron is small, so kids may need help to avoid making a mess during mixing. Once you’ve revealed the doll, the cookbook section doesn’t offer a ton of continuing activities beyond basic pretend play. Overall Value Despite the drawbacks, this playset offers a lot of imaginative fun. Between the hands-on potion mixing, the satisfying surprise reveal, and the well-designed Red doll, it feels special and engaging. Kids who love Descendants, magic themes, or surprise-based toys will really enjoy it.
